Planet Zoo: Eurasia Animal Pack arriving 13 Dec ❄️

Omg, do you guys remember when we had these videos for every animal with the Arctic pack 😭 They weren't cost effective, so Frontier stopped, but oh gosh, how much I wish we'd get them back.
And I don't know how I will be able to restrain myself from starting a zoo where these guys fit right away.
There were also in SA pack if I remember correctly. It helped in showing more, than one weird angle that gets people riled up until we get relase.

At least content creator's vids help in that regard. They should be out tomorrow right, day before relase?

That’s twice now that the final one they reveal they reveal through a video. Something JWE2 has also done with their last pack.

Hm.
Marketing test, without getting through the high cost of making it for all animals. If engagement raises and they'd see more wishlisted DLCs etc. that could indicate they should keep doing these.
I'm here for them, honestly. I miss them, I love them, I want them.

I totally forgot about the SA ones, because I was so disapponted in the pack back then. I agree they help a lot. I showed my best friend (not a PZ gamer) the wisent video and she was totally stunned.

Had a thought that's probably unlikely, but maybe? Given the focus on Eurasia, maybe the HBB will be updated to EBB in update 1.16? I know it's been mentioned by myself and others before, but kind of like a hidden part of the update until the actual rollout?
on one hand, the HBB ingame looks NOTHING like a real HBB, not even the right light brown, no big fluffy ears, nothing about the model is that bear.
on the other hand, its the way i learned these guys even exist, wich.. while a EBB is better for general purposes, itd kind of be a shame to erase the HBB from the game..
i vote no, i rather get it to look proper.
I wish we would get the White Birch tree in the update, such iconic tree still missing. 😭

im not gonna quote the person correcting to silver birch, but id be so happy if we got a eurasian birch.
id like more plants in general to help bring more variety to my enclosures.
I made a collage of the new animals like always. Frontier nailed all of the animals really, what is your favourite? Mine has to be the Takin, although the reveal of the Sloth Bear made me excited for them also.

My favourite animal in the pack is the sloth bear (anyone would think I like bears), but I have to say the wolverine is my favourite model, at least from the pictures. It's stunning.

This is my opinion without reasoning as a fanboy but as a disappointed enthusiast, trying to be objective and not offensive.

Yet another DLC + free update which in my opinion is extremely controversial and which only brings the improvement of having souvenir shops (which should have been there in the base game) and some cute animals or those requested by the community.

All the animals are of excellent workmanship and the rating I give depends a lot on how necessary I consider them to be in the DLC and in the game rather than on their quality, which I repeat, seems excellent.

Wisent 7/10:
Not my first choice on the wish list, we can define it similar to the American bison and I would have included other animals before this, but excellent and symbolic if you want to recreate a European-themed zoo.

Wild Boar 0/10:
Classic clone to fill a DLC, but this is the worst of all for various reasons. We are full of pigs in this game, I have never seen this one in a zoo, and above all it is put in when the pecary was introduced a month earlier for the anniversary...disastrous choice.

Mute Swan 7/10:
Beautiful animal, beautifully recreated, but this choice also annoys me a lot. I think it was put there as a ploy to say "well, let's put a bird inside so they'll calm down"... in reality this is an animal that I've never seen in a zoo, you can easily find it in some public park and it's not exactly a flying bird of the kind you see in zoos and which this game desperately needs... the rating is only for the beauty of how it was recreated, but it only increases the disappointment of not seeing certain types of birds in the game.

Sloth Bear 7/10:
Also this beautiful animal, I look forward to seeing a screen, probably one of the most interesting bear species, but...we really needed another bear now instead of first inserting so many other animals that are necessary and that are not present in this game?

Wolverine 8,5/10:
I don't know if it's a popular animal in zoos, I don't think I've ever seen it in Europe. An animal that I really like, highly requested by the community. Definitely one of the few happy and successful choices in the pack.

Saiga 5/10:
Another animal that seems very well created to me, but how many zoos in the world host a saiga? I'm just curious how his nose will move ingame.

Takin 5/10:
The same goes for the saiga, an animal that has been recreated very well, but how many zoos in the world host a takin? Can he be put on the roster before many other much more popular zoo animals that aren't in the game and may never arrive?

Hermann's Tortoise 4/10:
Although it is a very cute and interesting animal, it is a very wasted slot as a show animal, both because there could have been a flying bird, and because it could have been included in a pet DLC.

Total rating DLC: 5

I think these DLCs are becoming very monotonous and with completely wrong choices or as often happens they tend to maximize profit with minimum effort.

There remain some sensational and unjustifiable gaps in this game which at this point I think will never be filled: flying birds, monkeys, animals from South America/Amazon, playgrounds for children, entry/exit gates for the indoor part of the enclosures, new and several feeders, games for the animals...

The only hope, because I'm resigned now, I think it's a PZ2...

I don't know what country in Europe you're from, but takin is obviously not hard to find in Europe. How many zoos are breeding? This is only a relative reference. It is such a representative species that zoos that have them often show their location on maps. Which animal ranks higher than it? Takin had been in the top 20 on the wish list before this DLC came out, and combined with the "Eurasia" theme, I don't see what's wrong with it coming out.

We can literally count the pigs (or piglike animals) in this game on one (1) hand, we‘ve never had a swine of this biome, never seeing a BOAR in a (if you live in Europe of course) is REALLY hard, and nobody cares about the order animals are released in after, let‘s be pessimistic, 6 months. Plus, pecaries and boar are obviously very distinct from one another :)

Alright I'll bite, Takin has roughly 70 holdings throughout the eaza as per zootierliste, that is considerably more than saiga (like 2 at best?) and even the wolverine at 57. Can't forget the takin is also present in multiple zoos across north america and asia.

how many zoos in the world host a takin?
22 or so in North America (indeed, it's actually the most common species in this pack in North America). I count 68 in Europe, but that one might be slightly inflated since I didn't account for any zoos that might keep multiple subspecies. So yeah, it's a reasonably common species regardless of you having never seen one. Same goes for the wild boar, which I don't even feel like tallying up the Zootierliste totals for but Germany alone boats over 200 facilities with them.

I think it is time to just accept that there will not be a big step anymore. Time to do so was even earlier a few years ago as all DLC since SEA were working with the Same model. Animals back then were more requested (but that is clear that we now Go more and more deep) but it was always the DLC model. There will be a few unique rigs and the rest will be broadening the rooster. If you take this into account the pack is very good and also the other Packs within the year was. Without this taking into account it leads inevitably leads to frustration. If people are not okay with the fact how it works everybody is free Just to Not buy the Pack.
In my Personal opinion the Packs These year were all great. I do not need big steps at this Part of the Game. I Just Hope for more animals and also "so called" clones can be great as they vary the stuff. That we still get Major updates is a great thing. I think brachiation, WTE, Souvenir Shops were even big Deals within the Updates of the Last 1.5 years.
Regarding PZ 2. This is a Game which is 3 or even more years away. After spending so much time and money for the First Game I have serious doubts that I will be back then when IT potentially is released. Thats why I Hope we get as much as possible animals which Work for the current Game.

And honestly. Maximizing the Profit with minimalizing the effort is Just normal Business. Especially at a later stage of the Game. And as Long as the Business Model works financially with this game they are doing everything the right way business wise.

Different topic -

I'm planning to immediately make a Silly Noses zoo to showcase the saiga when this comes out. Who else should I have in the zoo with them? Proboscis monkey, anter eater, and both elephants are obvious, but are there othet silly noses I'm missing? And should I leave a gap for the inevitable release of the GSNM?
