Please Frontier please don't make a Central/South America scenery pack again

We got Eurasia wohoo

But okay serious talk now, if the animal-scenery-animal-scenery pack pattern is indeed a thing (which has been for like a year now) and next spring we are getting a scenery pack for the love of god, do not make it a scenery pack for Central or South America, I beg of thee. Central/South America NEEDS an animal pack.

On other hand it would be great if Frontier announced they are finished with scenery packs. While native american I think is still somewhat needed I can really live without central/south american theme and honestly if 2024 is the last year of support 2 scenery packs are gonna kill a lot of animal additions.

I support this. I know the scenery pieces will probably be awesome. Like Brazilian or Caribbean or Mexican or just general colorful Latín América building would look amazing... But the real need for a LAM pack are the animals. Is what everyone has been asking for, not some Bossa Nova style planzoo music or Día de los Muertos props or whatever. We want the animals from latín América that need the most: coati, rhea, howler, spider, Golden lion tamarin, spectacled bear, patagonian mara, even ocelot, Tamandua, Scarlet ibis, roseate spoonbill, agouti, guanaco, etc.

Only way i can see this actually working if we get a CA scenery pack BUT the other packs have at least 2 or 3 SA animals as well.

If it's generally "Latin America" then I agree, animal pack is the way to go. If it's just "Central America" there is absolutely no need for an animal pack. Plus, let's be real, there is scenery that could be very good for such a theme; the Spanish Mission architectural style is beautiful and very commonplace (and arguably should have been the scenery for the South America Pack instead of the vague, overthemed Jungle Temple).

Yes, this definitely the way I feel too. I think there could be great potential in a Central American Scenery pack, for both buildings and animals. For an overall Latin America though, it should be an animal pack since we already had a South American scenery pack. Adding to that, that South America is generally regarded as the continent most in need of more animals - on here anyways - an animal pack would seem to be an extremely obvious choice and a crowd pleaser.

I also would Like to See a Latin America animal Pack but chances are low to Change it If this Pack should be the plan for Spring unfortunately. I think Work already began for the spring Pack.

Whichever pack is next, has already been decided and probably already in development. If they went with scenery pack for SA now is already too late to intervene. But I am almost sure they went for animal pack. They also know what their game lacks

Edit: Becks beat me to this argument

Sure there's great scenery to be had still from Central America, but Central American Animal Pack could be easily made without stretching, seeing how much wildlife it shares with South America. Only two to three animals would have to be swapped.

Monkey (we'll only get one), ocelot, agouti, maybe tamandua if they're feeling generous? Probably the sloth as the exhibit animal as everyone expects. What else? We already got the peccary and armadillo. American flamingo? Cuban crocodile? Some kind of brocket?

Which is part of the reason I expect a general "Americas Animal Pack" like how they did the Eurasia Animal pack... a lot of options that can be attributed to at least two of those regions.

I believe we will at very least get two monkeys. I believe they been holding off on them so far because they always planned on including more than one in that SA sequel pack. Not all of them are as equally hard to make.

Everything we deemed essential, we got at one point, sooner or later. I just think there's no way we end the game with A monkey + capuchin.

But yeah that's what I'm basing my thoughts on, of course bot backed by anything. Basically Monkey x 2, animals ptu mentioned, Coati, Exhibit and any clone, might as well be Flamingo

It does sound good, but that kind of pack would have to put it 1 to 2 north American animals which would be a problem for our long awaited SA roster.

I only want a neotropical scenery pack if we get more than one neotropical pack. I can live with the current pieces, but there are so many animals that I miss.

I don't think there's any reason to think that. In fact I'd say it's extremely unlikely and hinging your hopes on it is a bad idea.
other than the Spider Monkey
I'd love a (Geoffroy's, but whatever) spider monkey, but the howler is near the top of the wishlist and probably much easier to make, plus it has far more unique sounds and can take advantage of the chorus behaviour Frontier introduced. If a New World monkey is coming at all, I think the howler is the safest bet.

Which is a bit of a bummer for me, since the NW monkeys I'm closest to are spider monkeys, squirrel monkeys, and the tamarins, but I'll take anything at this point.

Sadly agree, which I mean howler is still good, but Spider Monkey would be so much more of a unique primate to what we already have now.

Anyway, I'm not that attached to SA in general. Other than Spider Monkey as well as the Mara (forgot about this one) the rest of the SA options don't get me that excited. A bird would be great like an ibis, other than that the coati, rhea and tamandua are all species that are just "eh" for me. I would build for them, but they're not ones that really get me hyped up as much as seeing other animals from other continents like Blackbuck, Gelada, a Hare, Serval, Secretary Bird, Hornbill, etc. I would definetly prefer in either case of CA or LA, we get a scenery pack, but I'm starting to think it will end up being an animal pack.

Eh it's not too bad. Not the one to that gets disappointed easily 😁

I don't see why would it be extremely unlikely. I've heard the argument that the monkeys would be too hard to make, but they have already made two. Basing other monkeys off of them is certainly easier than some animals they already made.

Other argument is not as serious, the "Frotnier seems to hate birds and monkeys" is just rational

Frontier just goes out of their way to avoid adding monkeys. Despite the community literally clamouring for them for years, they steadfastly refuse to add new ones even when it makes perfect sense to. A tufted capuchin would be as much of a clone as, say, the Asian water monitor; we still only got one primate in the Tropical Pack. The Arid Animal Pack was the ideal place for the Hamadryas baboon, but nope. Same with the Grasslands Pack; great spot for a gelada, baboon, or even something out of left field like the Patas monkey; instead we got a second wildebeest.

That said, I think there is a technical issue, too. We still have no idea how the climbing system works, but given how very few climbing animals we tend to get I have to assume it's extremely bothersome to work with. Not to mention how buggy it is.

As they have been refusing to finish the Tapir. And as they refused to add other animals in other packs that made perfect sense. All in due time.

They are avoiding them, true, but my idea is that it's planned. Sure pessimism is always more realistic, but stakes are minimal, we're still talking about a game.

Technical issue might just be, even tho some Baboons and even, aforementioned Patas could still work nicely without it.
