Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Not complaining but you could post things like that in the Off-Topic Discussion sub-forum in the "What song are you listening to right now?" thread. I often post links to youtube gems in there (mainly to counter the metal-heads ;) ). It is one of the places I always look for new posts on opening the forum.
I'm not a metal fan either, just a fan of talent but I'll remember to look at that thread. I prefer Alternative, Cajun, Bluegrass and Western Swing (Asleep at the Wheel) in that order. I remember back in 79' I bought Sultans of Swing on cassette and was blown away, I'd never heard music like that before, to me Mark Knopfler was the precursor to Alternative music.

I’ve listened to all sorts of stuff over the years, from alt/indie rock to house&techno, world music and ambient - Sultans of Swing is a classic, and this being a Sunday, let’s give it a spin…? :)

Closer than I thought, I was expecting something more like 20k.

Yep, not very far out - and I have found Fungoida growing in the foothills closer iirc - wasn't quite so lucky with the next lot... required landing a pancake on a pinhead so to speak ;]

The Corona Australis dark spot. Darker than a midnight black Dolphin scooping fuel, at least. Pretty dark.

The LBN-623. A lavender purveyor of a dusty funnel shape amidst the interstellar medium went by.

Wow!

And the tourists, who are supposedly famous human explorers, wanted to go to an ice planet not far from the R Cra Nebula. Ok it's their money!

R Cra was neither very super exciting nebula in our findings, ..though quite nearby.

But even more nearby, the sky complemented the electricae

But I am extremely poor at guessing where the tangent horizon is when the settlement is near the limb and it's a small planet so I will quite often end up with one hell of a zig-zig if I've come in from the "wrong" direction.

Well, try to come around on it and set up a comfortable approach in the first place - but also can level out into orbit or nose back up into orbit and come around til you get that 50 degrees or whatever you figure angle of descent on it. Yeah? Just remember, it's fun zooming around planets!

I had the idea to do the X-Mas delivery mission from Angel Station and went there in open in an Apex shuttle.
On arrival, I wished I had the ability to record a video... Wondrous things were happening. Someone came out of the mailslot and turned their ship around, barely out of the toast rack, apparently trying to get to Harksen's postbox...
And NPCs were completely out of whack. My Apex shuttle found itself in the center of several ships (a T-9 and an Orca and some smaller ones) floating in a circle, synchronous to the station's rotation. Here a little snapshot of this:

I had to reenter the game in solo to be able to enter the station. o_O  :ROFLMAO:

You should be able to record, don't you have the Xbox button center-top on your controller? Pushing it should launch the game bar which has a button for recording and is invisible during recording.

Well, mine won't be in 4k anytime soon.

I fell asleep during the upload...
But now it's done. I hope.
Let's see if this worked:
Nice video and you can see potential culprits for the traffic jam on the radar.

Apparently the presence of commanders at a station causes NPCs to spawn, if there are multiple commanders arriving and departing then more NPCs show up but if one or more commander hangs around in the instance not all the NPCs leave so over time things get more and more crowded.
On my old computer it would be so busy at times that my frame rate would plummet into the low teens or worse
