Gathered the goods to get my suit sprint mod increase with Baltanos on Deriso out in Colonia. I am allied with Colonia Council, a requirement. I have the goods he wants to do business. I went and did another mission to awaken ED that I'm allied as it was over a year ago. Rebooted. Still no luck, The only choices in the Engineer shop are modules, which I already have. I see no bar in the station. First time moding a suit. Am I missing something as to how to get my Artemis suit moded? Access Level remains 0. Any help appreciated. Thanks!!

Maybe it's a bug... I think you're supposed to get a message by him before gaining access.
Common Knoweledge finding him. "How to Discover": Common Knowledge "Unlock Requirements": Reach Friendly Colonia Council (I'm allied with a recent mission with them) "Referral Requirements" Provide 10 Faction Associates. Have them. Still.... only modules lised in the shop to work with. SHOULD that page also list the suit mods too?

No. Engineering mods happen at the engineer base, not at the shop. You need to sell the FA at an eligible bar. One in the Colonia SYSTEM I believe - it's all listed on the engineers page.
Edit: But don't sell the FA until you get the invite as they won't count. Do a few more missions to bump the rep.
Nah, just needs to bump the rep and it will be fine. Nothing to do with the BGS tick
Thanks for taking a moment to assist, much appreciated. Just so my education moves a bit down the pike here... you mentioned "it's all listed on the engineers page". Are you referring to the internal panels Engineer list? Balantos shows a check for learned and gained access. Yhe last box is for the 10 FA's to gain knowledge of other engineers. Above that is a FA 0/10 counter. Nothing on this page, or the Engineer Help guides, mentions anything about selling FA's in a bar. Is there another page or guide your referring to that I'm missing. Would surley line to bookmark it for this old retired brain that has slowed WAY down and needs to pigeon hole most everything htese days. Thanks again!!

The Faction Associates data is to give to Baltanos directly later as part of getting an invite to Yi Shen.
Baltanos should give access directly on getting to friendly with the Council (or at least, on the next hyperjump) - if that's not happening, it might be worth a Support ticket.
Ah, wait. Do you mean the Engineer shop in your ship interface when you're docked at the Divine Apparatus station?
On foot engineers you need to get out of your ship, wander over to elevator and onto the concourse, and speak with them directly to get the mods.

I found out I needed to disembark, go into the Engineers base and talk with him directly. All upgraded. Thanks!!! And... if you don't wish a referral to other engineers further up the food chain, don't even need to sell the 10 FA's.
Yes.... and you don't have to vaporize 10 tiny settlements to unlock the engineer in the bubble. A complete waste of time for this commander. Took 2 days to FC jump and buy what was needed around the bubble. Heading out Colonia way anyway on the way to my next deep space exploration sector. Thanks for the help for this hapless FSP commander. Much appreciated, learned.
