My realistic wishes for DLCs in 2024

omg I love them.

for PZ I think we need about 4 to 5 more deer.

1) Pere David's Conservation Miracle
2) Elk - because they are big
3) Muntjac (A lot of fan base too)
4) Sika - Iconic spotted look
5) Pudu because they are cute

I think most of us will be happy if we get these five.
I would only add the Tufted deer - those are really amazing and differently colored

Here are my predictions of new DLCs this year, based on what I think the Frontier is more likely to offer. Be aware that the Frontier did offer about 1 to 3 top 10 species from the META wishlist in last year's DLCs. Like the Red River Hog, Lar Gibbon, Fossa of Tropical pack, African Crested Porcupine of Arid pack, Tassie and Kiwi of Oceania pack, Wolverine and Takin of Eurasia pack. So the current top 10 species of META wishlist may be presage of the coming DLCs:
1. Woodland pack (North American native-themed scenery pack with 4+1 species): Walkthrough exhibit species: Northern Flying Squirrel, Habitat species: Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo, Elk, American Black Bear, Tanuki. Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo is ranked #4 on the current META wishlist, it was not offered by the Oceania pack, Woodland theme is probably the most related theme that we can get this species. Flying Squirrel is a new type of Walkthrough exhibit species as it will be the first glider in the game, the two species here require the new models. The rest three are just copy & paste species that the Frontier likes to offer, and they are quite high-demanded (Elk ranked #32, American Black Bear ranked #33, Tanuki ranked #45) so many players won't complain about. Although I personally prefer the Short-beaked Echidna, it needs new model (its movement is different than the African Crested Porcupine, and it has lot of spines so time-consuming to make) so the Frontier is less likely to offer.
2.Latin America pack (7+1 species pack): Walkthrough exhibit species: Golden Lion Tamarin, Habitat species: South American Coati, Ocelot, Spectacled Bear, Patagonian Mara, Greater Rhea, White-tailed Deer, American Flamingo. South American Coati ranked #2 in the current wishlist, I don't know whether it can use Red Panda's model, it is not hard to make. Ocelot and Spectacled Bear are quite high-demanded and they can be made through modifying Clouded Leopard and Bear's models, Greater Rhea, White-tailed Deer and American Flamingo are copy & paste species. Patagonian Mara may need a new model but also not hard to make. Why Golden Lion Tamarin? Currently we have 4 species in the top 10 of the Wishlist that can be related to the Latin America theme, South American Coati, Black Howler, Golden Lion Tamarin and West Indian Manatee. Black Howler may need to add new movement since they have howling behavior, the Manatee is probably the most time-consuming species to make within the 4 since they require unique model, even unique exhibit place. Golden Lion Tamarin can be just rig-changing from Capuchin.
3. Tundra pack (Siberian-themed scenery pack with 4+1 species): exhibit species: Common Adder. Habitat species: Walrus, Musk Ox, Sea Otter, Leopard Seal. The Walrus ranked #3 and Musk Ox ranked #6 currently, so they tend to be offered this year. The Tundra theme is the most likely theme, but there are not many choices for Tundra theme, Sea Otter is one and it ranked #20, not low. Leopard Seal is ranked #53, it is copy & paste species of Grey Seal, and will be the first Antarctican Mammal in the game, probably chosen by the Frontier. Common Adder is probably the most well-known Tundra herptile, and it can fulfill the role of the Eurasian snake as we don't have any in the current game.
4. Safari pack (7+1 species pack): exhibit species: Jackson's Chameleon, Habitat species: Secretary Bird, the current #1 species in the Wishlist is the Secretary Bird, Shoebill, Grey Crowned Crane, Honey Badger, African Leopard, Nile Crocodile, Giant Eland. Why not Baboon here? If you look at the rosters in the past DLCs, you will notice that the Frontier only offers 1 Primate species through DLCs every year (we have 2 new Primates in 2021, but one was offered by the Anniversary update, not DLC). That means we can only get one of Black Howler, Hamadryas Baboon or Golden Lion Tamarin this year, which one we gonna get depends on the Frontier's decision. African Leopard and Nile Crocodile are copy & paste species, they are ranked #29 and #36. Grey-crowned Crane, Honey Badger and Giant Eland can use Red-crowned Crane, Wolverine and Gemsbok's model, not hard to make. Why no Serval? The Frontier generally offers 2 copy & paste species in each species pack, I don't think they will offer two Cats within one pack. Jackson's Chameleon needs unique model but Chameleon might be one of the highest demanded exhibit species, it is odd that we still don't have any Chameleon in current game. Shoebill is the top 10 species (ranked #10) on the Wishlist, it may need a new model but easier to make than the Baboon.
Overall, the conclusion is:
Woodland pack: Northern Flying Squirrel, Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo, Elk, American Black Bear, Tanuki
Latin America pack: Golden Lion Tamarin, South America Coati, Ocelot, Spectacled Bear, Patagonian Mara, Greater Rhea, White-tailed Deer, American Flamingo
Tundra pack: Common Adder, Walrus, Musk Ox, Sea Otter, Leopard Seal
Safari pack: Jackson's Chameleon, Secretary Bird, Shoebill, Grey-crowned Crane, Honey Badger, African Leopard, Nile Crocodile, Giant Eland

About the LAM pack, guanaco/vicuña/Brazilian tapir are all clones and far more likely than the WTD imo. Also the only primate in the pack being a WTE and being the only SA primate we get after all this time Will be extremely controversial and create uproar so i think at least one habitat primate for a LAM pack should be expected be it something simple like squirrel monkey, mid tier complicated like howler or very resource-consuming like spider.

Oh I forget the Brazilian Tapir, that is also species that the Frontier is pretty likely to clone for. Regard to your saying "the only primate in the pack being a WTE and being the only SA primate we get after all this time Will be extremely controversial and create uproar", I don't think the Frontier really cares if there is uproar. Don't forget that the Frontier offered the Spectacled Caiman which had ZERO vote in the Wishlist, rather than much better known and more demanded Nile Crocodile. That definitively let several players (including me) down but overall we still support the Planet Zoo. The Squirrel Monkey is not the top 10 species of the Wishlist, the Golden Lion Tamarin is. I would say the top 10 species of the Wishlist do influence the Frontier's decision-making, while the rest do not.

Only few humans actually care about realism, and they are all on this forum
But most people tend to be interested in the well-known species, while Indian Giant Squirrel is not that well-known. I would say for me Great and Kori Bustard are also cool species, but almost no one talks about them, their rank in the META Wishlist is also closed to the bottom

Imo it would work tho. It's like one of these species people don't know they want but if we would get them people love it. And yes the main crowd would not know the specific species but squirrels are cute and people love squirrels.

Rabbits are cute and many people keep Rabbits as pet, but we still don't get any Lagomorphs in the game and the votes of Rabbit/Hares in META Wishlist are also very low
