Looks like Nightrider is poised to drop the sledgehammer on me for being "overly condescending"

I informed him that if he did so, since Spectrum is intended to be a critical part of the game, he could kindly refund everything I've paid to date. Then I won't bother anyone there anymore about anything and they can fester in peace.

Curious to see if they ever do ban someone from the game for a forum ban. It will certainly open a can of worms legally.

Goddamn, they still list the golf ball bug as a known issue...

We are currently aware of and tracking a few different issues that may occur that can have one or more of the following symptoms occur during play:

  • Your character avatar turns into a small, white, floating ball.
  • Your character has their arm permanently raised above their head.
  • Your character's head is missing.
  • The mobiGlas is missing from your character entirely; the hotkey to pull it up does nothing.
  • Your character has become invisible.
  • An object gets stuck in your character (such as boxes stuck in hands or feet)
  • You become unable to interact with most things in game while in this state.

POTENTIAL WORK AROUNDS:

If your character has encountered any of these issues listed above, there have been some reports from players that entering character customization and changing your character's gender, appearance, and attributes a few times may correct these issues. After changing your appearance, enter the PU. If not resolved please try customizing again.

To avoid an object getting stuck to your character, be certain to drop any items you may currently be holding before picking up another.

maybe it stops the staff from standing on them?

Bespoke furniture sure ain't cheap...

Got around to looking at their financials and a few things need attention. Firstly, they spent $13m on capital expenditure in 2022? That's in the region of $15k per employee for the year. They talk about pandemic and creating great offices that people don't fear to go or whatever but in the previous ten years in total, they spent $20m. They also use that same end of pandemic reason for the increase in overheads, which rose from nearly $12m in 2021 to over $18m in 2022.

I remember once upon a time saying no matter how much money they are given, they will find a way to spend it and somehow this continues to be true. I'm all for another record year of funding just to see how it gets spent. Looking at some milestones. They've now spent over three quarters of a billion on Star Citizen. With another record year, 2024 could just be the year they raise over a billion dollars in total. Unfortunately it will most likely take at least a few months but probably nearer the end of 2025 to hit the one billion dollars spent
