On each graph, points are on the Y-axis, and squadron position on the leaderboard is on the X-axis. Both scales are logarithmic. The light grey line (diamond marker) is the numbers for the previous measured season. As in previous seasons, the approximate power-law distribution continues allowing estimates of total activity to be made without spending too long reading the boards. Results are based on late measures of the current season boards due to known bugs with the "last season" boards, and so may not reflect final outcomes exactly.
(Political is excluded, because there are well-known exploits to allow very high scores, and because it's not clear even without the exploits what it's supposed to be measuring: the in-game description of "large and happy faction" is clearly wrong - possibly this will change if they ever implement BGS happiness properly)

Anti Xeno (165 pages)
Winners: Anti Xeno Initiative (4% of all points), Knights of the Earth, Silver Sun
The big boost from the introduction of the spires subsided a bit from season 33 - perhaps the Orthrus getting a bit harder to shoot at, perhaps a reflection of their decreased strategic value - but still remained significantly above most other seasons. Two new entrants take the Silver and Bronze places.

Combat (678 pages)
Winners: Endurance Exploration (3% of all points), Winged Hussars, EG Pilots
The overall leaderboard looks very similar to last season - very slightly up on participation and total values - but right at the top is a bit different as Endurance Exploration get the highest individual squadron score on record and only the second to exceed 10 million points. The other trophies go to former winners - the Winged Hussars in seasons 1 and 19, and EG Pilots in season 6.

CQC (19 pages)
Winners: We Rock You Roll (36% of all points), Black Swans, Lavigny's Legion
CQC activity falls to tie its lowest ever previous value in season 28. Black Swans return to the trophy spots after a season away, while Lavigny's Legion pick up a second bronze to join their first from season 17. WRYR, as usual, take the Gold.

Exploration (706 pages)
Winners: Independent Explorers Assoc (4% of all points), Intergalactic Astronomical Union, Stellanebula Project
Like last season, a new entrant takes the Gold, while IGAU and SNPX pick up the other trophies. Total page countis slightly up on last season, and total activity increases to roughly match season 31 - still low historically, but the first rise in activity not tied to a CG since season 21.

Powerplay (23 pages)
Winners: Federal Liberal Command (15% of all points), Lavigny's Legion, Federal Republic Command
Participation on the Powerplay boards continues to be pretty static - though the Federal Republic Command shake things up a bit by getting their first trophy since season 26. Of course, this might change in a few seasons' time.

Trade (592 pages)
Winners: Pilots Community Network Squad (3% of all points), Pilots Booze Network Squadron , Pilots Trade Network Squadron
Showing that the key to trade success is to have a particular pattern of name, the Pilots Community Network Squad pick up their first trophy. Participation counts are up quite a bit, but overall activity is down significantly again - with no major trade rebalancing having happened recently, this shows the impact of even mid-participation CGs like season 33's Tritium mining on the baseline.

Other comments
Last time predicted things would continue to be fairly static, and that's mostly what's happened. Overall participation levels rise slightly for the first time since season 27 kicked off the Thargoid war, though the effect on the number of points needed for a particular rank is more mixed.

Update 18 is expected during the next season and is likely to shake things up a bit - though which direction it pushes each board is hard to guess right now.

It was Christmas period, last lowest S28 was also Christmas, wasn't it? I hardly played at all during those 2-3 weeks. It was the same for most of the squadron.
It was not only family time but also pc games on sale. I spent weeks playing 7 Days to Die with my 2 kids ;)
