No - not according to Arf a while back.
I don't think so either. I think future updates will be more story-orientated rather than gigantic new gameplay modules.
But it seems odd, because everybody would like it and construction sims are something Frontier have vast experience in and are really good at.

Sorry but you are wrong there as I wouldn’t like it and as I am not egotistical enough to think I am unique there are likely to be others as well.

Too little information to go on as yet, but this seems at least plausible.
We got carriers... It's a humongous personal base. Just need to add more features on it to feel like that.
I'm not particularly interested in base building either - reeks too much of management games (in which I am terrible!) and tying oneself to planet XXX rather than having a FC home.
But, I also accept that others have no wish to be a filthy, murdering, vagrant in space either - despite it being perfection for me!
I'd prefer general player housing, but I'm not super opposed to base building in theory i would just hope... That fdev makes some QOL changes to the nav panel and system map if so, FCs clutter it enough.
Personally I'd much prefer either ship interiors as player housing, or renting apartments in starports (elevator to the residential district?) Or even just FCs getting personal quarters.

I got plenty of time on X4 series... I need a break on management too. 
But I noticed just today the game Dual Universe. Looks like they checked on all what some here asks.

Yeah, it would just be something else in the game I would not take part in.
Generally posting like this is, well, frowned upon, claiming to be the spokesman for "everybody", or that using the generic "we the players" want, people are side eying you already
You can speak for yourself for a group of players, but obviously even in replies to your post you don't speak for "everybody." So I will assume you mean a vanishingly small group of players who don't want to fly a spaceship in a spaceship flying game but sit on the ground somewhere adding walls and windows to a rather pointless box on the ground.

Yes, it was supposed to be an Elite killer - doing a lot of things that Elite is not doing, but was vehemently asked by some players (open only, client-server subscription based, player economy, bases, etc).
Unfortunately is not doing well, while Elite is doing pretty fine for a game in its 10th year

I do honestly not understand how:
a) people seem unable to read the forum rules
b) people think that discussing information gained from hacking into the game's files, would be OK on the official forum of the company who made the game.
To make it crystal clear any information gained this way does not guarantee it being in the game. And discussions about information gathered in this way will not be tollerated!
