Big thankyou to Fdev for my wonderful 4K monitor and snazzy RGB keyboard and headset and goodies. Cannot thank you enough and Elite in 4K looks AMAZEBALLS!! It's nice to be able to read the text in the menus that aren't weird smudges. Wondering if they were only rendered in 4k and use downscaling or something for the other resolutions. Anyway, massive thank you to all at Fdev for the very kind goodies and just know I bought a whole load of arx by way of thanks

Also keep up the good work, heartened to feel that Elite has a future again!

It was on SMAA and Fidelity CAS

Have even noticed in 4k that while text on webpages and in all other applications is nice and crisp and fine detail down to the pixel level that my eyes can't even make out. In the menus in Elite there is still weird blurriness and what looks like image sharpening/upscaling no matter what setting I put it too. Very weird. It's not just in a menu that is in game and so is subject to different angles and player movement. This is in the actual game menus before it loads etc. Also in the menus that only have one viewing angle such as in the options/graphics menu itself.
