Hello Park Managers!

Prepare to unleash four new bioengineered hybrid dinosaurs into your parks with the Secret Species Pack, coming to Jurassic World Evolution 2 on 13 March!

These genetically modified additions are more detailed than ever before, giving your guests a unique and memorable experience as they gaze upon these magnificent new species, including fan-favourite bioluminescent variations to make nighttime an enchanting experience.

New Dinosaurs

Get ready to welcome these extraordinary hybrids into your parks:

Spinoceratops:

A mighty hybrid combined from Sinoceratops and Spinosaurus DNA. First introduced in season four of the hit series, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, this species is instantly recognisable from its impressive fin to its imposing horn. However, DNA analysis indicates that Spinoceratops is a predominantly peaceful species.

Stegoceratops:

First glimpsed in the movie Jurassic World on Dr. Wu’s computer, the Stegoceratops combines the might of the Triceratops with the spine defences of the mighty Stegosaurus. Its intimidating horns coupled with its spiked tail, neck, and back make this armoured species a formidable challenge for predators, should they wish to take the risk of challenging it.

Ankylodocus:

Ankylodocus, the largest bioengineered species, boasts sharp spikes on its back and a clubbed tail making this gentle giant a thundering presence in any park.

Spinoraptor:

This predator possesses the cunning and ferociousness of its parent species: the Velociraptor and Spinosaurus. As a social creature the Spinoraptor is happiest when with others of it's own species.

Bioluminescent Skins

New nighttime bioluminescent skins are coming for the four new hybrids as well as for the Indominus Rex and the Indoraptor! These skins will bring your parks to life when the sun goes down, allowing you some hint to where the more dangerous dinosaurs might be lurking in the bushes!

The Secret Species Pack is available on Wednesday 13 March! Don't forget to wishlist on Steam here!

Well this was unexpected! Revealed without a tease, and I knew for a while it wasn’t going to be what some have thought it was going to be. As well as the fact I was wrong what it was going to be too. Also, while I knew the four hybrids, Spinoceratops and the three JWE1 Dr. Wu expansion hybrids were already planned and will return in new PDLC packs, I didn’t think it would be like this either! And that’s no complaint! 😊

Also, now I might expand my list of Indomins rex and Indoraptor skin combos for my dream parks. For a while, I have made a list for how many skin combos I want and for which ones for my future dream parks when the time comes. Now, looks like my super predator hybrids will expand in higher numbers because of the new glowing skins for it. Gotta see how I can do it when it comes out, because I’m very interested in that once it’s ready.

Spinoceratops, Spinoraptor, the new Ankylodocus, and the lux look wonderful. However the unchanged over-spiked Stegoceratops and having to pay for three of these four hybrids AGAIN is very annoying. I also haven’t seen anything on a free update. If there’s a free update i’ll buy this one but it’s still the weakest jwe2 dlc. If there isn’t a free update I am not paying for this.

I mean, a lot of people in the community wanted hybrids, most especially the Spinoraptor and the Spinoceratops, and Frontier DOES listen to their fans. I think they should've been included in the base game but, Frontier had their reasons.

While I've never been a fan of the hybrids, the completionist in me will buy this DLC 😑

I was really hoping for either the "Flyers"/"Aviary", Cretaceous Herbivore, or something like a "Lost Dinosaurs of Jurassic Park" pack, something to bring in the Microceratus (for the "Lost Dinosaurs of Jurassic Park, they can bring in the Segisaurus since there are tour audios for it but I digress).

While I'm surprised this was the upcoming pack, this will automatically be my least favorite pack. Hopefully more will be included alongside the bioluminescent skins (which is cool).

I know people are not going to be exactly happy with this but let's just be honest a lot of people in the Next Generation who grew up watching the first Jurassic world definitely are going to be happy to see the hybrids get some love. I'm actually looking forward to having hybrids having the Luxe skins especially the Spinoceratops. The return of the three hybrids that were missing is absolutely a treat I know people are not going to want to pay for the same species again but I am definitely going to get it again because I definitely wanted the Ankylodocus to look more like the Ankylosaurus and that's basically what we got and the spinoraptors return is absolutely awesome I really liked the spinoraptor after the first game and I love the fact that Frontier put more details into the skin to remove that plasticy look from it.
