What do you think the anniversary animal is going to be?

My bets are honestly going to the Masai Giraffe or one I haven’t seen a lot of suggestions for, the Ethiopian Wolf
I'd actually love the Masai Giraffe! They are as pretty as reticulated but look completely different. They are found further North if I remember right. More in places like the famous Serengeti.
The Ethiopian Wolf would also be cool. IMO, it is unfortunately a wolf like animal. One not found in captivity... Yet, it would be nice to have another African canid (the Fennec to me doesn't represent typical Africa). AND, Ethiopian wolves are beautiful. What is also cool, is that they are almost as close to jackals and wild dogs as wolves. They (or an ancestor) lived in areas below the Ethiopian highlands once as indicated by admixture between them and Serengeti wolves/jackals.
African wild dog should benefit from the multiple colormorphs feature.
Agreed! One idea people are throwing around a bit is remakes of base game animals. That would be cool, if and only if Frontier also gives us more colormorphs of the base game animals as well. The African Wild Dog should be one of the most variable animals in game.

I want either the coyote, gray fox, or American black bear. They could all be made pretty easily from cloning, the coyote might need some extra work though.

Hoping we get the European Bison soon, and it could make for a great anniversary animal (although I’d be more than happy to pay for it).
The other option could be the Linnaeus’ Two Toed Sloth for the Walkthrough Exhibit, utilising the WE for people who only have the base game! I’d also love this option, as the Brown Throated Sloth (whilst great to have) was not my preferred species.

I think all your ideas are good especially the second and third. I love Grey Fox (cute and climbs trees!) or ABB (colormorphs?). Coyote would be cool if we could get a more unique canid (tanuki or bush dog IMO) in the Fall DLC.

Wisent is one that I haven't heard in a bit, people seem to have shifted to wild boar for temperate European ungulates. I want both

I feel as though it would be too similar to the American bison for them to add it. Then again, they did do the water moniters so it is possible

I don’t think after the year we’ve had that any animal is ‘too similar’ to be added to the game. In the last two packs alone, we’ve had the Lar Gibbon, Asian Water Monitor, Black Rhinoceros, Addax and Dama Gazelle, all of which are almost rendered ENTIRELY redundant (in terms of gameplay of course) due to their similarity to already in game species.
The European Bison, whilst very similar in appearance to the American, at least fills a completely different geographical niche to the latter, as well as having the conservational appeal that probably helped towards ALL of the ‘clone’ animals from the last two packs being added.
