Question about the game

Hey Frontier, I have a question for you.

I saw that you have a publisher sale up on Steam and I just happened to pop over to the Elite landing page. The video started playing and I noticed this little bit. When does this happen in the game? I mean personally, I've never seen a commander standing inside of a ship.

Just curious.

That trailer is from 2016, the current video on the Elite Dangerous website doesn't use that section, this looks like a cinematic and not necessarily all game play footage. The current video on the elite dangerous page has a watermark that states "ingame footage", since this one doesn't specify it's in game footage I would put it in the same category as most other cinematic trailers for new games, not necessarily a rendering of actual in game action.

I know. I was being facetious. Ship interiors was point of draw in the kickstarter, and as of date, still unlikely to be implemented.

I feel for the su--- I mean, the pu--- er, the fellows who spent thousands of dollars on jpegs in SC. Yes, one could argue that 30Ks, guillotine elevators, and spaceships with trapdoors that let their owners drop to their demise provide definite entertainment value (though not necessarily for the player involved), but I prefer ED myself. I have several thousand hours under my belt (5K? 6K? More? I don't know. I have two accounts, one I haven't touched in years... I guess I'll have to clean it and start over.) I sometimes wander off to sample other games, but inevitably, I am drawn back in by the prospet of flying space ships with lasers that actually behave like lasers should, and other stuff.
