Unpopular Opinions

Frontier hasn’t been doing well financially, they layed off some staff.including community managers for Planet Zoo. This also included a number of developers.
Wanna hear what's funny? They are now re-hiring for the positions they laid off a few months ago.
I could be happy they are doing well again and that this will benefit future games, but my honest reaction is: , and that's just because there is no vomitting emoji avalable in the forums.

Thats could indeed be good news. Although i feel its probably for the game thats supposed to come out later in the year

The sentiment of PZ support ending mostly stems from the fact that that has been the case for Planet Coaster and Jurassic World Evolution in the past.
The game got its console edition and support for the PC version ended with a slightly bigger than usual pack.
Obviously it could be different for Planet Zoo but between the before mention end of support pattern, Frontier not doing to well financially and alot of staff layoffs at the end of last year its not looking to bright
Actually the sentiment mostly stems from the financial support and the different wording then on previos financial supports when it comes to DLCs planned. So the speculation is a lot more fact based then just watching patterns of other games.

:/ defenetly a development. Hope they atleast had the curtosy to rehire the laid off people where possible, even if idk myself if id take a job again that fired me.
Its annoying that they didnt wait with the layoffs for the console release, but idk enough to say if that was an option.
Overall good they are doing better but very meh feeling about this

Frontier still made millions in +. Laying off people for 4 month and then rehireing doesn't save them much money, especially considering that quite a few people at platforms like glasdoor do not see the payment you get at Frontier as competitive.
Hiring new people, however, gives the option to hire Junior positions again, which earn even less. You can do the math.
