Titan Oya Rewards & Update 18.03 | 18 April

So either much more payout after Thursday Defensive change from Very High(Extremely High?) or the payout increases with each heart taken down.
It only depends on the number of control systems the Titan sports, as it seems. It also leads to such ridiculous jumps like with Oya, where not even a concerted effort of all players can get down a single heart the one day, but almost obliterate it completely the other day, just because of that "tick". Together with that one-week-2-mils rule, it is the prime example for a FOMO production. sigh FDev balancing...

This is quickly becoming the new: "CGisoverwheresmymodule"

Thanks - looks like the 3 messages are standard broadcasting oddities, I'm good with that.
Also, IIRC the previous 2 decals only showed up after the Galnet News about each Meltdown confirmed, not immediately after the KaBoom.
Good point ! Let's wait for the news.
I keep forgetting that for a better taste, FD still manually hardcodes most of its spaghetti, and that takes time.

About the damage ramping up : the consensus is basically one inflicted effective damage is worth a fixed handful of credits, and like in the rest of the game, the Titan's damage resistance lowers the effective damage dealt vs the weapons' nominal damage. So yes, more active systems = less damage per (identical) run, system status change on Thargsday, and that's it.

Greetings Commanders!

The time has come to take out another Titan target! The Thargoid Titan Oya in Cephei Sector BV-Y b4 looks set to be vulnerable on Thursday 18th April! With your combined efforts you can unleash the military might of humanity and reduce the xenos invaders to space dust!

Oya Rewards

For every Titan you work to defeat you will earn incrementally different rewards. Titan Oya is the 3rd Titan brought down which means if you have previously been involved in fighting the last two Titans you will receive the following rewards:

Update 18.03

On Thursday 18 April we are releasing Update 18.03 which specifically focuses on improvements to some of the stability issues encountered with the Titans. Please be aware that we are still investigating these issues but this patch should offer significant improvement.

If you experience vents or the core becoming stuck or unresponsive please switch to playing in private group or playing solo.

Release Schedule (Times in UTC)
  • 5am UTC - In game maintenance messages begin
  • 7am UTC - Servers offline for maintenance and deployment of Update 18.03
  • (Update)12pm UTC* - Servers online and update 18.03 available
*This is an approximated time and subject to change should additional maintenance be required

Should you experience any issues after this update please be sure to report them on this Issue Tracker page to help our developers investigate further.

I believe there may be a bug with Bio-Pod Extraction. Thargoids seem to home in on the bio-pods at any range, which means your personal heat level becomes irrelevant, and as soon as you start mining the pods, every thargoid in the instance rapidly chases you down.

Just now, I had three cyclopses simultaneously converge on my location. You can't really kill them, because more spawn constantly, so you are forced to run almost immediately. Even with 8+ collector limpets running at once, your ability to collect them is severely curtailed.

I don't THINK this is intended behavior. Scythes are supposed to chase them down, but I don't think other types of Interceptor are meant to be doing this.

I have experienced Scythes well beyond 10km stealing my Bio-Storage Capsules, and my heat was at 17%.

Can't confirm that either. In my last solo run witnessing the kaboom, I've done the usual rescue operation extracting 160 pods from the dying titan. It lasted about 45 mins, and I had exactly zero attacks. Lots of AX-NPCs, though, stealing my pod extractions. The thargoids just ran the hell out of there.

Weren't the previous ones also not released immediately, but on Thursday after the big badda boom?
they where deliverd after titan destroyed, some of the Cmdrs received the decal already, some of them received only the shipkit, some of them received both....

Me: Darts off to pineapple, unloads hordes of missiles from my racks, runs for cover between asteroids
Titan: Sorry sir, here's 14k credit reward
Exsqueeze me?
Me: Stays and sits out next round
Titan: Ok, here's another 14k credit reward

I had that in Open, time and time again.
Then I moved to Solo, and got over 100M.

YMMV

I'm behind by 1 Titan, so looking forward to the Cobra kit so I can make a "Jameson's Revenge" themed classic! I know I landed the requisite damage too.
