ARX store inflation

If ingame Arx was going up they could have saved themselves a lot of trouble and just increased the cost of buying Arx directly, rather than require a game update and manual tweaking of every price on the site.
The presumption then could be that they're not planning on increasing ingame Arx rewards to compensate due to the simplicity of doing it the other way and achieving the same thing, which could make sense, tbh. However, we will have to wait and see.

Bit crazy arx->£ pricing

85000/£44.99 = 1889 arx/£
51000/£24.99 = 2040 arx/£
25500/£12.99 = 1963 arx/£
16000/£9.59 = 1751 arx/£
8500/£4.99 = 1683 arx/£
5000/£2.99 = 1672 arx/£

They must be taking their lead from Tesco (etc) with the 85000 figure.. You have to watch Tesco like hawks trying to get you to buy a bigger pack but with a higher £/quantity figure.

A 6000 ARX weapon customisation is £2.94 pounds minimum, or £3.58 worse case. Thats nearly a pint of beer!

I think i'll stick with the stock product thank you very much.
Do these figures factor in the bonus ARX you get in those larger packs?

I am using sunglasses on my CMDR. Both of the frames come with a sunglasses and normal glasses version.
I have sunglasses in my Holo-Me, but using Odyssey suit, my character never wear glasses, and pic only show my suit without helmet.
My old FC Captain, had sunglasses, but in Odyssey they FC management pic show a new face, and the weekly cost show his old face with normal glasses. Now the old face dont exist anymore, and the new face change everything. Thats was my mistakes with the dark sunglasses.
Using Flight suits is useless in Odyssey, G1 with sidearm. New suits are better and engineerable.... but can't wear glasses.

First I also think it's too much, but also to be fair, the currency that people have been paying for these ship kits has also lost worth since they were released and AFAIR I don't think there's been a price increase for cosmetics since launch in 2015? Inflation calculator shows that £10 in 2015 is worth £7.51 today, which is definitely not 300%, before anyone replies, but I can only imagine and hope that ingame Arx rewards are going up to offset that to a degree. @Paul_Crowther - could you please confirm this to be correct or not?

Which is why you charge more for the purchase of Arx going forward, you don’t increase the cost of Arx for items that have already been there for years. They’re not manufactured goods that cost money to reproduce. There’s no excuse for that, unless you just want to be a jerk and have no respect for your customers. To anyone that recently purchased Arx it’s just plain theft in every way but the legal sense.

Would you buy a final DLC which would give you offline mode or the ability to set up your own server?
As a KS backer who initially pledged at the lowest level that got the game (I’d been waiting for Elite IV for years but the always-online requirement would have meant my large swathes of the year spent at sea back then would be EDless), but then immediately Jonty’d for the £90 boxed edition with all future expansions included when the campaign announced Offline mode - I’d still happily (well, maybe a bit grudgingly) pay for an offline DLC 😁👍

So Ship Kits, Paint Jobs and Bobbleheads. Do they make my ship go faster or fight better? No, they just make it prettier, I suppose, but I don't need them to play the game. So if they have gone up on Arx, I probably will not buy them. But I can still play the game...

Not quite, as you didn't take the extra arx into consideration

When they said adjustments, I figured things would both go up and down, not just up so dramatically.
Well, I've noticed it's the corporate PR SOP:

When a company plans to reduce prices, their announcement will proudly speak about price reduction.
When a company plans to increase prices, the announcement always mentions adjusting prices.

And in some rare cases you become aware of the price hike only with the next invoice--this has happened to me at work during ye olde 'Rona kerfuffle. A b2b company never informed us about any "price adjustments" beforehand, and the next invoice we received for a routine order dropped our jaws and made us call them back about an obvious error--when they confirmed that it was, in fact, not an error, we very politely told them to go and get lost. And thus ended a years-long productive business relation...

For those of us across the pond it is
Code:
5000 $3.99 1253/$
8820 $6.99 1262/$
17700 $12.99 1363/$
26800 $18.99 1411/$
54000 $37.99 1421/$
100000 $59.99 1667/$

An exchange rate of 1.3334 $ to the pound. The actual exchange rate currently is 1.25 so arx cost way more in the US than the UK.

Time for another Tea Party me thinks. Extra outrageous prices for those of us in the US

Because Fdev has to buy Pounds with the dollars you give them to pay the people/building/servers (and perhaps a bit of taxes too)
