DLC18 discussion and predictions

It's pretty clear there was an evolution of thought as far as DLC content over the years. For me, the first sign of this was with the Aquatic Pack. Up until then most of the pieces we got were hyper-themed and flexicolor options were limited. Then, we saw the shift toward the animal packs with SEA that spring followed by another scenery pack that gave us a really nice balance of themed pieces and flexicolor options so they were versatile.
So it goes beyond the animals. But as far as the rosters for the animal packs go, I think it's more along the lines of them picking the pack's "all stars" (3-4 key species) and then filling in the blanks. So it's a pack-by-pack thing. What do we think would be cool and what works within the allotted "budget" with the resources that we have. Usually the oddball pick (or picks) is something that would probably just be fun to work on, might allow a unique animation/feature, etc.
I'm still convinced they put the quokka in there just because they felt like shareholders might know what they were. And that the proboscis only made it in-game so they could say they had a swimming monkey for some reason. LOL

Considering JWE3 has been confirmed, I imagine PZ2 isn't far off either. So if we do get another DLC, the next one will likely be the actual sendoff before they shift all focus to development. If that's the case, I'd hope they do a big animal pack with what remains of the most-requested ones.

An animal pack DLC was confirmed via live stream so we are definitely getting at least 7 new animals

Yesss a zookeeper animal pack, 4 monkeys and 4 birds. Fight me.
I think there’s a pretty strong chance for this pack to be for Central America which hopefully will include several animals that also double as South American too.
Sorry to echo pretty much everyone, but I think this more or less confirms a Zookeeper, fan favorite pack will be the next and final pack.
The one unfortunate thing is I feel we'll have to temper expectations of the traditional, bigger than normal finale as it doesn't seem Jurassic is doing so.
If that's the case, it's a real shame we'll wrap up before hitting 200.
But I could see it being a detriment down the line to have a more expensive pack as the bundles make their way to console.
Will customers feel slighted that in order to get Arctic or Arid or whatever the last one is paired with, they'll need to pay a higher price point as the hypothetical larger finale pack would have had more content?
We'll see what happens.

South America is the #1 reason I hope we get more than the usual number of allotted animals. A "zookeeper pack" with 3-4 SA picks, tree kangaroo, secretary bird, and then ~4 other picks from across the world would be such a nice way to end things.
NGL I’m gonna be a little bit disappointed if it follows the meta-wishlist completely and has the secretary as the only bird, especially when there are so many “basic” species missing like Victoria crowned pigeons, one of the more common African birds (Guineafowl, crowned crane, ground hornbill), a duck, etc, etc. etc. The rest of the pack would still be good, and tbh I’m kinda prepared to be a little dissatisfied with my lil’ feathery guys, but the fact that we’ve never had more than one bird in an animal pack is kinda ridiculous.
I’d be fine with it if it’s the secretary + plus a more versatile species, but otherwise it’s gonna feel like a bit of a slap in the face if it’s just the secretary.

I think it's unlikely. But I'd gladly sacrifice all the Baboons, Tree Kangaroos and Secretary Birds for SA/CA focused animal pack
