Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

RDR2...and I think Days Gone had the option as well, apart from that, nowt...but most games have long since moved over to DX12 instead of using the outdated DX11. I occasionally have the odd graphical anomaly playing RDR2 with Vulkan, pixelated water effects and the same with trees or grass ...and to be honest, there's absolutely no gain in any way using Vulkan over DX12. The framerates are the same...everything. Vulkan is a step up from DX11 in the case of SC...but I'd suggest that it's not as graphically stable as DX12...strictly from my experience of course...odd water effects and graphical anomalies being the main things I've noticed if I have used it in any game that offers the choice 🤔
Thanks for that, I did wonder quite what the buzz was.

I think that Valheim seems to run a wee bit smoother using DX vs Vulkan, but there's not much in it, as best I can tell.

Ship wipe fix went well?

Missing ships

So I lost my Hull c when 3.23 came around and I sent a ticket knowing it would do nothing. Then I see the update say that they plan on bringing ships that were lost from that update back in 3.23.1. I am still missing my ship.... My question is did anyone actually get their ships back?

I think they only made it worse and more people lost ships. Bizarre how something which should be a simple database table gives them so many problems.

I lost two ships with 3.23. I got one back with 3.23.1. Who knows, maybe I’ll see my lost ship again in some future patch.

I had all my aUEC ships carry over to 3.23 but then lost 3/4 of them when 3.23.1 was released. Seems all the ones that are up for sale during ILW are the ones that went away. Hmmmm

Was just poking around Linkedin for some other stuff and found this low-level intriguing on the marketing / streamer stuff:

Also confirmation of the ship gifts to streamers for giveaways (which many of them have discussed). And 2018-2020 Citcons pegged at 2k attendees.

I'm guessing 'advance game content' probably means immediate access to sale ships for the likes of Rexilla. Poss dedicated servers etc.

That's pretty much damning evidence that Rexzilla was Rexshilla

Doom 2016 and Eternal have a Vulcan integration. Did wonders with my old rig and Doom 2016 as I was able to play everything on max in 1440p with constant 144fps from start to finish

Lol. Shroud's first taste of action 😁

He ends up with broken legs.

I'm just skipping through the stream, but it seems they had to head to another station to fix them 😁

EDIT: Ok safe to say, after a mission or two, that he's [REDACTED: Content does not comply with Forum Rules] not liking it so far ;)
