I am glad I did the extra 2 runs last night. I was a gnats whisker under 19000 so would have just missed out. finished on just over 20300 (my last load was not full) so should be safe now
Same here. I was slightly below 19K yesterday and was feeling a bit tired, but decided to do some more local runs since there were couple of planet sites within one jump and with decent stock. And this morning I managed to squeese in few more full type9 loads (744) before I had to leave for work and ended up with 22K which was enough. :)

OK, finished, I've made it, now what?
Do I have to click somewhere on something to end my participation, or the game will know it and the Vette skin will be available on it's own?

Don't listen to him - just trolling the CG crowd - they're pretty gullible ;) Cosmetic rewards are always available straight away on hand-in

edit: Well, unless you forgot to sign up beforehand - I'm sure we'll have a few of those this week :D

Hauled for hours from 12k to 15k to 18k, went to sleep, woke up to see that the threshold for 25% rose to 19k.

Tilted right now... I was aiming for the Corvette. Now it feels like I wasted my time.

At least I made a ton of money selling Reactive Armour? But then again maybe I could have made more money doing other stuff...

Lesson learnt to aim for the tier above what I want. This was my first CG after all and so I was taking it pretty seriously. I know this is my own fault, but this sucks and hurts, not gonna lie...

Even that is not always enough, I was maybe a quarter of the way into the 10% tier in a CG years ago and thought I was good for the 25% tier even if I was going to miss the last day.
I ended up three quarters of the way up the 50% tier due to a late surge.

I have also had the other frustration of arriving at the station with enough to have got me up a tier only for the timer to go over before I could finish docking and sell/hand-in.

That sucks. I honestly think the rewards should be tied to tiers (1, 2, etc.) and not percentages so it's actually a co-operative activity. I'm not sure if CGs are worth it... was pretty excited when I started but now just feeling really bummed out.

Edit: A hungry man is an angry man. I had a good meal and regained my sense of happiness. Also, I realised the Reactive Armour profit wasn't all that bad. Sure, other trade routes exist but they either work only for medium ships, or have a longer distance. I had a chance at the rewards, which I didn't manage to get, but I still had a chance anyway. And I made a friend.

Good game, I'll learn from my mistakes and do better next time :)

It was nice CG .. did majority of my runs in local space (1 jump, there were numerous local settlements with enough stock of reactive armour) and ended with 21k delivered ... profit from 0,7k was slightly above 11M, so in total 330M+

I went to sleep with 21.28k delivered, a mix of reactive, non lethal, and a few basic meds... bascially whatever was available close by. I was not sure if it would be enough, and luckily it was. Decent money, but the paint jobs should have been for 75% and 50%, not 50% and 25%. With the store changes as well, I wonder if this is the new pattern Fdev will use going forward. I hope not

I think someone above made a good point.... rather than making it competitive perhaps the skins should be tied to final tier reached.

and then on top of that - to give a bit of incentive to play it could be to qualify for each "thing" a minimum but importantly pre defined contribution needs to be made.

So for instance in this CG,

if tier 1 is reached the reward could have been gunship PJ but and a minimum personal contribution of 5000 tons.
if tier 2 is reached the reward could have been the corvette PJ but with a minimum personal contribution of 15000 tons.
if tier 3 is reached the rewards could have been 200 arx (or if that is too generous maybe bonus 50mil credits, or perhaps some hard to get mats) but with a minimum personal contribution of 25000 tons.

so this would be completely cooperative, but at the same time you still have to put the legwork in to get it done.

I was in the top 25% for a while, but didn't have a lot of time.
I ended up in the top 50%, still enough for a nice paint job.
I was shopping around for a dedicated combat ship, that's going to be the gunship, just because i already have the paint job.

people tell me the gunship is not that good but i must admit, it is my goto medium combat ship.

with engineering it is fairly tough, has a decent amount of firepower and it can house a ship launched fighter.

its not quite like my anaconda where i can zip about in my SLF and not worry about it (my gunship does get wrecked pretty quickly if things go south) so if i want to fly the SLF i use the anaconda, but still, me flying the gunship and my crewmate in the SLF its a decent ship imo.

It's certainly been an interesting CG - comparing to other post-2020 bubble trade CGs:
- second highest 25% threshold by absolute tonnage
- third highest 25% threshold compared with the mean delivery (which is itself the fourth highest)
- and yet the total participant count nothing special.

Looks like people either really wanted that Corvette paint or weren't interested at all, with not many in the middle.
