Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

How has XenoThreat been for everyone else? This is frustrating.

Awful. Struggle to find wrecks, finally find one and I can barely keep my gun equipped. My multi-tool or medical gun randomly gets equipped.
Run out of ammo, try and pick one up. It's randomly removed while I have it in my hands. Finally start grabbing some supplies and the event ends.
Bugged markers, so friendly players will randomly show up as red - leading to a lot of unintended friendly fire.
Basically zero flipping information how this works in-game, the comms where the lady explain what the cargo does is quiet and randomly cut off.
Abandoned player ships everywhere, which also show up as unknown signals? Making wrecks even harder to find.
The concept of the event is cool, but in its current state it sucks massively in every way.
But, I understand it's necessary to stress test the replication layer and whatnot.
I'll just rent a Prospector again and try to make enough money to one day try the Vulture...

This has been going on for years. Despite putting on the exact same “dynamic missions” for years, CIG can’t fix anything.
Why do they keep doing these stupid events when their game barely works?
What's the point of running these events when they already know that the servers are the choke point? What usable data could they really be getting from this?
Haven’t even tried it because I assume it would be EXACTLY like it has been every single time in the past, an absolutely unplayable mess
i wonder if there is some point at which they can’t ever fix the bugs in code developed over so much time without just starting over.
Ran worse than ever, so happy CIG updated the event...
Playing at 15fps suck.
Imagine fantasising about a clunky 15 fps gameplay. That's how far we ve got

Rumor: Some of those who were using the exploit that led to suspensions were allegedly selling the credits for real world money.

And this is why some online games make it hard for players to directly trade money, to stop this sort of thing.
Yes, but these games work usually decently. I mean what else can you use SC for? Self-flagellation? That's a very limited audience. But probably avery dedicated one, I grant you that.
