Personal Hangars exists for the player at the selected home location at all times and is as big as the largest ship on the player’s account (ships purchased in-game don’t increase size of personal hangar).
From this:Allegedly they played the levels in white-, grey- and blackbox. The flourish is the part that is unfinished. My take is that Nylon Witgrin played a lot of the 0 levels that were finished back then.
Just how crap can this game physics be? How does that explain the nakedness? Or was he perhaps already naked before the “event”?Ok, some pure Star Citizen...
A guy tries to puzzle his ways past some bugs. We try to figure out which bug combo killed him...
I'm going for:
His attempt to enter the upside-down ship yo-yo-ed him between the gravities of the opposing grids, which got misread as a massive acceleration, which knocked him through the ship, propelling it into the air, where it blew away on the wind... leaving him 1000ft in the air...)
Either that or it just teleported
Yeah, more like walk through the concept. From this:
"....a good chunk of the game is still unfinished. Massive portions of levels are still full of placeholder assets (voice lines, textures, models, animations, etc.) on top of the game yet having its proper polish phases, so it’s highly unstable."
...my reading is that no-one could have properly played it. Not meaningfully.

But temper your expectations right now. What we saw was crazy buggy. Almost comically so. I suspect it’ll be several weeks at least before this is ready for LIVE…it would be an absolute disaster to go in without MUCH more work as it stands.
In 3.24 your persistent hangar is tied to where you first start off at and can't switch it. Which has now become quite the pain in the ass moving gear anywhere because ships no longer have inventory menu and all gear must be loaded physically for transport.
So even if you change your spawn it's still a pain since moving your stuff just got way more time consuming to do. I know eventually we're supposed to be able to log in where we log out at but right now it's just tacking on more things to eat up time with the unnecessary tram rides.
Also the inventories don't have a search function so if you have a lot of crap.. good luck finding a specific thing unless you like clicking through a dozen boxes to try and sort. Maybe it'll change and we can type in what we want to search for by the time it hits live but I doubt it.
For example say you die in a bunker and want to go back, you now have to:
It's overly complex when it shouldn't be and I don't know if it's for that realism or wanting people to play longer but it isn't a fun system and hence I think it's is a giant step backwards.
- Wake up in hospital, go to storage bank.
- [F] Access storage bank (loading)
- Select gear from storage bank terminal and transfer to storage drawer, right side of terminal shows bank, left side of terminal shows drawer (no search option currently, so good luck if you have a lot of gear)
- [F] Access storage drawer (loading), this then opens the old style inventory so you can equip things, so put medical gown into storage drawer (can't drop things with new inventory system remember, there goes my gowns collection).
- Equip gear finally (here's hoping you didn't forget to put something in the storage draw if you did go back two steps)
- Go to ship and continue
Mike's been playing the Evocati as well

As usual he is pretty optimistic. But loading a C2 was estimated to take 5 hours - even Mike though that was a bit much. Night Vision does sound cool though.
It's like when idiots find out the consequences of design decisions they dreamed about and fabulated over for years. The evo trip reports are coming in...
Most focus is on TTK tho...

Tried the new 3.24 Storage banks, my feedback on more steps just to equip gear
I can see plenty of fidelity whales being fine with this. (And these hangars are great for cosmetics sales, and time sinks you can pay to skip... for all those future 'craft an Idris' dreams...)
The casual end of the $45 pool though? I reckon CIG's retention / onboarding numbers are about to take another hit...
But loading a C2 was estimated to take 5 hours
Maybe Server Performance Actually Isn't the Problem
Two days ago, I went through a prep session. Took me a solid two hours - a fair bit of which was just talking in chat, but a 2 hour session nonetheless - of getting my Cutty Black set up exactly how I want it, with exact numbers of magazines in the lockers, the proper weapons in the racks, my several 1 SCU boxes for looting bunkers, and my Cyclone in the back for driving since I don't want to risk all of my work against a bunker turret. It felt really good going to bed that night, because I said to myself, "Tomorrow, I wake up in my hab and go to my ship and I can immediately start flying."
Yesterday (the day after my prep session), I logged on and tried to do a bunker. Server was pretty bad, and I didn't finish the bunker because one of the guys became invulnerable. Not a big deal, but it seemed risky to try again, so I just called it a night, my ship only marginally depleted.
Today (two days after my prep session), I logged on and found a 30 FPS server right away. I was elated. This was about to be a good session.
I bought a couple mags to just top off my resources, and was prepared for a several hour play session to go do bunkers and make some money from selling gear. I logged in, woke up in my hab, retrieved my ship, exited the hangar, and started to QT to my surface location. The QT drive turned my ship to face the station and plowed me straight into it, destroying my ship and everything on board.
Frustrating, but I thought I'd try again. I quickly re-outfitted my ship after waiting for the claim. I was on Everus, but I had gear on Lorville I needed, so I flew down to Lorville, landed, and equipped my armor set. I sat back down in the pilot seat, and I noticed there was a UEE security ship flying inside my hangar (it was one of those gigantic hangars). I chuckled, lifted off, and flew forwards slightly (I didn't even exit the hangar), and my ship exploded a second time for no reason.
I respawned at Everus, very frustrated by now, and thought, "Well, at least all of my gear is at Lorville, since my ship exploded there. I'll just fly down and grab it really quick." I pulled my Pisces from the ASOP terminal, went to my ship, and briefly thought to myself, "You know, it would be kind of amusing if I exploded as I exited the hangar right now." But of course, it's a 30 FPS server, so I opened the hangar doors, waited a minute, and then flew out...
And I exploded for a 3rd time in 30 mins of doing precisely nothing. I was done at that point. Thankfully a kind soul let me hop on their redeemer and gun for them, so I could still enjoy something that didn't cost me.
All that to say, all of this occurred on a 30 FPS server, with 15 people on it. I understand the issue with server performance currently, and generally I agree that most of our issues are problems with server performance, but here was a high performing server (literally as good as it can get) suffering from the same problems low performance servers had. I couldn't even do the thing I wanted to do because of how bad it was.
Krait. Noisy neighbours make the experience so much more immersive and life-like. It's the living-breathing universe right in your personal hangar.
