No, it's the same file that's updating for the last 2 months.
No it’s what @Captain Callum said, I was making a bad joke. The file we are wishing for is outsource_iqa to be added. In fact I think we had a conversation last week where others stated that the dev_release_trunk is usually updated well over 20 times a day before the dlc. I don’t believe we are anywhere close to that.
I can see Frontier choosing something super rare like the Woolly Monkey
Now I am imagining Frontier sweating hard seeing this forum just fully agreeing next pack is totally Latine America with monkeys

I think a native american themed set could be pretty cool for a temperate pack with along the lines of black bear, porcupine, mandarin and muntjac
I’ve always liked the idea of a Pacific Northwest pack with the ABB, elk, duck and a snowshoe hare but at this point there are more important additions that need to be added from other areas.
I like the idea but i don't think the roster could provide what is really needed right now (specially if it is the last pack).
I seem to recall a time "everyone" knew we were getting a mountain animal pack... and then we got the Eurasia pack. Later, they put out a farm pack featuring five animals that didn't appear on any meta wishlist, despite plenty of popular alternatives... If the final pack would be an Americas Pack with 13 animals with 8 from South America and 5 from North America would you be satisfied with it as the final pack or saddening.
Personally, I think the North American Porcupine and Mountain goat would be better picks than the duck and Snowshoe Hare. What duck species would you want it to be?
We still need a rabbit... we don't need another mountain goat (unless it's the Markhor).
Wood duck, mountain duck, ringed teal, pintails, wigeons …… I could go on.
Hands down I think any duck would be more beneficial than a mountain goat, but I may agree with you on a porcupine being better than a snowshoe hare. Though I wouldn’t be upset to get the hare either. For me, I just need a duck. Then I will be happy.
If literally the only single bird is a duck in this upcoming dlc that’s still a win for me.
Wood duck probably. Also yeah NA porucpine would probably be better but a bunny is just as beneficial. I would just rather the next porcupine we get to be the Brazilian one since its way cooler (imo).
I feel like a Northern Frontier pack would do better as an animal pack then a scenery.
If we mean northern frontier as in like a North America style pack absolutely not we need a new scenery set for North America. Totem poles, new log/wooden cabin wall set, lots of stuff to choose from.
After scanning through the steam db data we still 5 years in haven't reached a point where the player base is consistently at its lowest the lowest month in terms of active players was October of 2020 followed by this month then September of 2021.
The active players have been an almost straight line and very consistent since the games start with spikes on weekends and pack releases. It is also interesting that barnyards release has had the biggest impact on the player count since tropical.
Planet zoo is still doing fairly well and other than being in the way of other newer titles it has no obvious reasons to be stopping at least not popularity wise.
