Orbit lines toggle control broken after Type 8 Update

That is nice....

Now two things:
  • stop toggling it....
  • create an issue in the issue tracker so we can vote on it!

This has been talked about elsewhere so a careful check on the issue tracker might well find an existing report to confirm.

I really dislike the new orbit lines.... I think they are way too prominent and ruin the immersion, being more prominent than the HUD and even overwhelming the planets...

I've always toggled them off before too as already with the thinner lines, I found them immersion breaking... Now it's kinda worse and even more so that I can't toggle them on and off with the bug, when fuel scooping or skimming planets...

Totally broken IMO... They were fine before for me being jagged even.... Now it looks like I'm playing an 80's arcade game. lol.

But that's just me...

Here's the issue tracker link - its confirmed so do share your input there:

I don't bother switching the orbit lines off, I just keep them on at all times. But I have noticed a couple of occasions when the exclusion zone of a body will become "displaced" from where it is supposed to be.

Or carried away from stellar body, to be "frozen" on screen. DSS/Scanner mode view also have similar issue with orbit lines, where when zooming into an object, orbit lines remain "frozen", and when scanning system with 50+ stellar objects, it can almost obscure view to point where its hard to tell whenever wich orbit lines are correct and ones that got bugged, becasue each zoom causes current orbit lines being carried to new view, and more zooming in and out goes, then more orbit lines are present on view.

Bit annoying, but good thing that jumping out will reset all oddities.

Ah! So here's the thread for this!
Yes, this bug is super annoying. When not star-surfing for fuel I keep orbital lines toggled off permanently. This ruins my whole experience! There!

Added my vote/report to the issue tracker. I had refrained from doing so earlier as I expected a hotfix shortly after the update, since to me this was an obvious dev “oops!”. I guess I misjudged the attention of the developers. Has there even been an acknowledgement?

Come along Frontier, this is surely a straightforward fix to an irritating bug.
