It also has amazing yaw rate. So big that it almost feels unwieldy at first, compared to most other ships. I don't know why they decided to make it so nimble in that rotational direction.
- T8 does not require a large pad
- T8 is make for SCO cruise
- has big cargo capacity
- Is fast
Try the T7. Especially in supercruiseIt also has amazing yaw rate. So big that it almost feels unwieldy at first, compared to most other ships. I don't know why they decided to make it so nimble in that rotational direction.
Feels nice, though. Other ships feel sluggish in that direction in comparison.
Have you ever flown a Type 7?It also has amazing yaw rate. So big that it almost feels unwieldy at first, compared to most other ships. I don't know why they decided to make it so nimble in that rotational direction.

Hahaha ninja'd...Try the T7. Especially in supercruise
On Aug 7th the Type-8 was released in two forms.Does this ship only be purchased pre configured with ARX or can it be purchased with credits from a shipyard inside the game?

On Aug 7th the Type-8 was released in two forms.
The first form is as a paid preview base model for 16500 ARX and also unlocks buying them at a station: https://www.elitedangerous.com/store/product/type-8-standard
The second form is a paid preview Stellar model with upgraded modules, a ship kit and a paint job for 33000 ARX and also unlocks buying the base model at a station: https://www.elitedangerous.com/store/product/type-8-stellar
In 3 month, November 11th, the Type-8 will be available for everyone to buy for in game credits at the appropriate station shipyards.
There's more to it but that's the gist..
I bought the Stellar for 33000ARX. I've fully G5 engineered the engines with Dirty Drive Tuning and added the Drag Drives experimental resulting in a whopping 527 m/s boost speed, which can be leveraged to escape interdictions rather than fighting while carrying more that 300 cargo. When it comes to running cargo, the Type-8 is a runner...
I'm looking forward to using mine in Open at the next CG. Not sure I'll be ready for the current one yet...
I do more mining than straight up hauling. I guess I like the defensive capability that a fighter adds. I know it is weird, but I like the idea that when I am out there, I am not alone. Noting that the Keelback has the ability as well as the Type 9 and Type 10. Seems like an oversight to me.
im still not sure why i need one. maybe a miner
Large ship, can hold barely any more cargo than the medium-sized Python (310 vs 294 tons), now greatly surpassed by the medium-sized Type 8 (406 tons)...Have you ever flown a Type 7?
First of all, you don't have to spend any real money now if you can wait 3 months. Second, it's not supposed to replace cutters or T9s but pythons in bulk transfers to outposts. Especially for BGS work or if you find some cheap tritium or transfer missions. Here is my issue. I am trying to understand why I would use this rather than my Cutter for example. I really want to justify spending 40 dollars for this new shiny thing.
I use one as an ExploMiner and called her "Clementine"...Large ship, can hold barely any more cargo than the medium-sized Python (310 vs 294 tons), now greatly surpassed by the medium-sized Type 8 (406 tons)...
Probably doesn't get even nearly enough love.
The T-8 even looks like a pickpocket with those mischievous arms.More cargo = more robberies!
YARRR!!!
