Titan Thor is vulnerable!

Three to go

It would still have time to bug out (pun not intended), but apparently the Thargoids prefer getting violently exploded?
They are too fat from eating humans to move.

Imagine how much harder it would be for humans to bomb if it simply started moving forward. So our targets kept moving. Or rotating around its horizontal axis. Or multiple axis creating a tumbling effect. It would become crazy tough to nanite torpedo the vents then bomb it.

How much time is left do u guys think?

i tried making my very 1st TITAN run today but didn't have much time to trial & error , so i died before reaching the 'core' ( green gas pulse cloud kept pushing me into mines lol and then when i tried to come back for a 2nd run , i got interdicted a whopping 5 times in-a-row literally within 500km of the 'Thor' dropin spot )

do you have thargoid pulse neutralizer? You need to use that to get past the blue wave. I'd suggest going to AXI discord and asking for help there, they will guide you in. You can also view a bunch of YT videos on how to attack titan, it's not that hard once you get the hang of it.

About 15h to go - though there is usually a rush at the end so it will probably be less. But if you don't make it then you should practice at the remaining two Titans as they are all basically the same - nothing worse than time pressure to mess things up  .

You probably want to be going faster if you get interdicted that much - I've actually found Thor not interdicting as much as usual - the short supercruise helps. Then one pip to SYS for the pulse neutraliser and after a few goes (and watching some vids maybe) you should be good - I always just fire when I hear the sound, but YMMV.

Yes , but again: It was my 1st time ever, so i wasn't exactly sure when to fire it off and for how long to hold it down.

Already watched this one here---> https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/titan-thor-is-vulnerable.627368/post-10416399

hmm, i dunno 'bout that lol this is hardest "endgame" content in EliteD .

Perhaps u guys who have been here for 5 or 10 years make it look "easy" , but for 3 month newbs like me who just started 1st time TITAN run today ( twice ) it seems pretty dang hard to me lol . ( but yeah, let's see how many runs of practice i can fit in before 'Thor' blows up )

darn , i'll probably miss out then ugh oh well maybe for the last TITAN in a few weeks i'll be better equipped/practiced by then.

yeah i just realized my speed-boost was a bit low , because i had mistakenly Engineer'd my thrusters the wrong type. But i fixed that tonite , so hopefully i should be able to out-run those 'swarms' better yep.

However, i was told the actual interdictions ( in supercruise ) are totally random RNG luck , no?

If you are able participate in Thargoids content after 3 months, then I must think about how much have ED changed from times when I started play this game (9 years ago). Three months was for me to get fully equipped Cobra mk3 and feel comfortable flying it without fear of rebuy return to sidey :D

wasn't exactly sure when to fire it off and for how long to hold it down.

Have a hotkey for it so you don't need to mess with fire groups

4 pips to systems when you see the orange cloud start to change color to pale teal

Listen to the deep humming sound build up, pause, and then..

When it "fires", a half second or so after the hum pauses, hold down the pulse neutralizer hotkey until you see the expanding wave pass you.

You will be pushed back a little, but not at crazy speeds, on a successful attempt. Heatsink (also hotkeyed) and head on in. You'll probably be on your 3rd or 4th caustic sink deployment by then. When you stop accumulating caustic you are in the Titan zone proper, among the surrounding rocks.

It's easier to get past in Solo mode because there will be just one pulse. Multiplayer modes are also multi-pulse modes.

However, i was told the actual interdictions ( in supercruise ) are totally random RNG luck , no?

RNG, yep.

ist time i tried i was using a shutdown field neutralizer so no wonder i could not get in
i found it much better to not have it on a firegroup but instead i bound it to a key for activation
as long as its charging as the pulse wave passes over the ship it should work
so about half way+ from the wave origin epicenter to the ship i start the charge remembering to hold the key down till the wave has passed and the ship begins to overheat
good luck
