4th SCO ready ship prediction.

Cobra mk 8 - which for some reason will be a Medium ship with too many engines and movable parts 
Panther Clipper. With SCO it will be able to..er....move.
Panther was my second choice. Though it will be a bold move if it turns out to be a M ship - with too many engines and movable parts
we finally gonna get a medium sized liner. I'm going with the Stingray and hope it has a tail and little flappy wings when it flies.

If it's a passenger ship, I hope it's called the Humpback.
I have a suspicion. As its will be the tenth Anniversary of Elite Dangerous and in 17 days (20th of September) it will be the 40th Anniversary of Elite itself. How about the next ship will be a pilotable Jameson's Cobra MK III. A single seater ship with a single class 3 hardpoint upfront (as it is when you look at it). Make it slightly more manoeuvrable, slightly slower and able to carry an extra utility slot and I think you could have a quick win of a ship variant!

The SCO-ready Type-8 can already carry almost as many passengers as the Beluga. Obviously it can't do Luxury, but assuming that the new ship would also be a Medium, smaller than the Beluga, then it's unlikely that it would have more than an exceptionally niche use case.
I had thought it was possible if it could also be configured as explorer, but with the Mandalay announcement being so explorer focussed it doesn't seem likely that it'll be a relevant part of the 4th ship's design.
I agree with the logic of the position, and don't hate the idea of such a ship being in the game, but it isn't the sort of thing that would have mass appeal for Arx, I don't think, unless it has another USP alongside that.
Personally I'm hoping for the 4th ship to be more of a wildcard, the Cobra MKV/Sidewinder MkII, Panther Clipper, Guardian and/or Thargoid Hybrid.
'Everything else is covered' doesn't cover AX combat, though the Python Mk2 does have some use there it's a long way from being generally useful in AX combat due to the limited internals.

Wasn't a panther clipper so big it couldn't fit through the slot or something though?

We don't know how big it might be - the slot is huge though.
Why have a Beluga when you have a T9? Or something like that.
It's the old Medium ship designed with the SCO drive in mind snafu come up again. Oh, I just realized something... it will have a class 5 FSD!

I was thinking, rather unoriginally, I found out, that the next ship would be the SK Narwhal (or possibly Porpoise) but after reading @Robert Maynard 's comment, and based on the fact that we already have two Diamondbacks and a Keelback, the Humpback seems more "lore-friendly", so to speak 
Fourth vessel? The Scimitar, a Human-designed variant of Thargoid Hunter-class vessels, built from salvaging all eight Titans and borderline necessary to explore the highly-caustic Col 70 Sector.

Come on. Multi-purpose?... You'll just stick with the 'Conda anyhow... I mean starting off with almost no mass is hard to beat. Nope. I expect a ship that's all white, with some black contrast I'm sure , a sausage with wings design, and a whale name. Narwhal, to be exact.
The Beluga carries more passengers than the Type-9. The Type-8 carries just as many passengers (170 from playing about in EDSY) as the Type-9, while being a Medium and having good SCO handling.
To re-phrase my whole comment. If you think the next ship is going to be a passenger ship, what other characteristics do you think it should have that would make people actually want it?
