Okay then... I'll play with your Narwhal idea, and that leads me to think that the USP would be it'll be a passenger ship with a single Huge hardpoint, to go with the single Tusk of the Narwhal.

Well if it is a well armed ship name it after the largest living toothed predator the Cachalot aka the Sperm whale.
If it is the PCs big brother call it the Blue.
Or if it is the ship that excels at everything name it after the whale considered the best to hunt, the Right.
I suppose they could surprise us with the Singapura Clipper instead of the Panther promoting the Sidewinder to second smallest ship in the game.

I was thinking it'd be fun if it was a large oversized Cobra, L pad, 10 S hardpoints, can only equip passenger cabins, with moving parts.Cobra mk 8 - which for some reason will be a Medium ship with too many engines and movable parts
We will have the Mandalay for full atmospheric flights, so might as well have Moray Star Boat for full water worlds. Nuff said, that's the next two DLC right there!

And any and all Thargoids will be immediately hostile on sight to you using it.
… no, Frontier probably wouldn’t do that, especially not an early(ARXly? eARXly?) access ship. Or just outright/effectively paid only* in Horizons [4.0]… but it’d be funny. Yet might also open up some interaction possibilites to Thargoids to go “Hey, look, I’m not one of those that shoots you, can we be friends or at least not go killing each other every step of the way” to them. So, you know, they don’t shoot you on sight for using a ship that is a lot more theirs than it is human tech. And uses pieces of exploded Titans.
(While admitting this is a pipe dream Frontier likely would not implement, be that due to lack of ability or willingness)
*Yes you can get it with the free ones, but it’d take you what, almost half a year even if you got both the weekly cap in Legacy and Live? And that’s for a single ship.
That aside… is the Scimitar’s namesake the Romulan vessel from Star Trek, or just because we already have that naming scheme in the form of the Glaive and Scythe?
Multirole, since combat for P2, T8 for trade, and mandalay is for exploration. Whats really left is multirole, the truest multirole of them all, master of all but not better than new ships at same time in thier respective roles. Whats better than already best multirole around? An even better multirole, and it will be better because of enchanced SCO.

Agreed on passenger and Saud Kruger, But Narwhal is out, since that name has already been set in lore for the capital class passenger ship in the Federation.
The FE2/FFE Panther fit just fine, there's no reason why the ED one shouldn't.
Very much the latter pattern—any Star Trek references would be entirely lost on me! The slight pattern deviation is that Glaive and Scythe both involve a blade on a long pole, leaving not many good-sounding choices without waiving the pole.
Since we are going full rule of cool I'd actually like an alien hybrid vessel akin to Guardian fighters or partial Goid.
Alliance "big" one... is also missing, but this may come later.
