With all due respect @StuartGT, I invite you to play a game of spot the difference...Erm... sorry to burst your Eurogamer-and-CIG-conspiracy bubble, but Eurogamer already reviewed SC back in 2018, after it first released as early access with alpha 3.0

Star Citizen, I am disappointed
Star Citizen is a bit like an Instagram account: what you see looks amazing but the reality is hollow. As it stands, at…www.eurogamer.net
6 years and 2 different authors? With all due respect @StuartGT, I invite you to play a game of spot the difference...
You're doing good, keep on, there's more!6 years and 2 different authors?
Pre-Order the CIG bundle!(If they announce it at Citcon they best have a crossbow promo lined up...)
Nah, it's not the same. First of all, Frontier were in the process of actually delivering a game, not selling smoke. That time was when the dev team was in Friday crunch to roll out the first updates so some forumers decided (initially as a joke) to send them pizza. Sure it turned in a sign of appreciation that they were doing Friday crunch but it wasn't the dreamy "we love everything you do" even though they're getting scammed situation theto be fair elite dangerous had a similar vibe back in the day. anyone remember pizza Friday?

Would you like to take back the conspiracy bubble accusation please?
Also, Star Citizen is early access release, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is full release.6 years and 2 different authors?
I do remember though once, David talking on lave radio I believe, and he made me choke a little when he laughed when suggesting that the devs where having to put in some crunch time.Nah, it's not the same. Depends on the crunch culture. Some crunch is hard to avoid at software dev. Constant or consistent crunch is just bad planning. Hopefully at Frontier they have the good type.I do remember though once, David talking on lave radio I believe, and he made me choke a little when he laughed when suggesting that the devs where having to put in some crunch time.
I didn’t like that attitude of laughing at this fact.
However whimsical and inoffensive he is, as a dev who has been on the wrong end of crunch, I thought his comment and laugh stank.
Ed: but I’m not bitter lol
The thing is that the question is really moot. CIG has already released SC in Early Access. As such CIG can stay there indefinitely. It has no further obligations.however as much as it is taking longer than i would like, and i am definitely not drinking the CiG kool aid, imo it is starting to come together now. Do people still really think that it will never launch as a "working" game, and that the whole thing is a snake oil scam?

true enough, but when is it ever?Working to some extent, eventually, perhaps. What it will never be is the game they sold to backers.
