Elite Dangerous - Update 18.09 | Thursday 19th September

I haven't used my fighter pilot in ages due to this pointless/aimless/rubbish mess (don't really know how to describe it actually!!), AND WE STILL HAVE TO PAY THEM!!!!!!!!!
Can't remember exactly when, but at Dangerous my pilot was Absolutely Fantastic at shooting, or even just as an 'expendable' distraction (also even against Thargs), but it suddenly changed and they can't sort of press the 'Fire' Button - really don't understand this BUG as when I change to the SLF I can shoot anything perfectly.

I noticed that the NPC fighter pilot in Guardian Fighter often couldn't use the fire button (shoot).
I then switched to the fighter myself and had to activate the weapons myself using the right display module.
It happens from time to time that the weapons are deactivated. Afterwards my NPC pilot was able to press the fire button

Thanks for the tip!

Could the folks who are really not happy with the thickness of the new orbit lines maybe post a (non zoomed in) screenshot or two to illustrate what they're seeing only, while I was initially sceptical and primed to dive into my EDHM settings to fade them down a bit, in practice they're fine for me. I'm wondering if they’re resolution and/or graphics setting dependent because describing them as being like spaghetti O's does seems like wild exaggeration.

At work at the moment, but I did notice a new "yellow circle" that appears since the last update that is much thicker than the normal orbit lines, usually appears around a planet if you're heading straight at it to trigger the "Impact" alert in the top right, but then doesn't go away. If I recall it'd also randomly appear in space on occasion even if there wasn't a planet present, usually quite small.

Hopefully the above is moot as the servers are currently down, and when they come back up the issues will (hopefully) be sorted.

I don't suppose the shadow/light flickering issues are fixed are they per chance!?
I've been experiencing a LOT of this, all planetary surfaces and shadows during orbit and landing I think. Most notably, ALL shadows uniformly flicker on/off as your viewing angle changes during approaches. Its REALLY 'orrible! and you'd definitely notice if you had it. Sound familiar Zombi3?

@Clarion-Z : Thanks for the comment on all outstanding fixes, I take it you don't think an issue is open for shadow/light flickering as Zombi3 and myself have seen?

I am using the new Nvidia RTX HDR feature (it's actually quite good generally; think Auto-HDR [SDR to HDR upscale], only it actually works!). But it could be causing the flickering effect I'm seeing. I'll try toggling it when I next see the issue.
