I haven't researched this in detail, but it's my understanding that thargoid weapons do some damage through shields, which diminishes their usefulness, or something. You might get more bang for the buck by using a hull reinforcement package instead of a shield generator.Thanks. Are shields useful or just go in with hull reinforcements?
Is there a tutorial for this somewhere? The best option is to engineer your ship for cold running and have a heat vent laser and heat sinks to stay cold. Thargoids can't target you if you're below 30% heat or so, except when you get very close. "Cold Orbiting" is the tried and trusted technique for beating interceptors, but it takes a while to learn. Not running a shield will help your ship stay cold.

The CG target is so high to make sure it lasts the whole week rather than being completed early when it hits the maximum.Well, so the CG has an 8 trillion maximum target which is about 2.33% met, but the invasion progress is at 6% already. So I guess that might/will end before the tier 4 threshold is met, providing we are supposed to beat it in one week. Given that that is the CG duration, I presume so.
But if this is the Thargoid master plan while they leisurely hang around their remaining two Titans continuing to do the same old, I'm not sure this will cut it. Interesting choice of target, nonetheless...
Yes, that's normal. Not that familiar with combat bond CGs....
Is the NPC crew share supposed to be subtracted from the CG contribution?
If the Invasion state gets completed earlier than that, there might be a sudden shortage of targets and no possibility of completing the CG on any schedule, though. The CG target is so high to make sure it lasts the whole week rather than being completed early when it hits the maximum.
There are plenty of gankers around Jameson. My Bugsplattaconda’s AXMCs can’t do them much damageAn AX CG in a heavy PvP system? Prepare your sphincters.
I hear the Thargoids are running their won CG, wonder what the rewards are? What no counter CG, pfttt rigged (this post is made in sarcasm I am excited to see how this all plays out)
In case any doubt persists, Glaives absolutely do spawn around Jameson. Source, me just dealing with a trio of them early on in my first CZ.Yes, no anti guardian field in ShinDez. Well it might be if hunters turn up... don't know if they do in the CZs, I haven't met any so far.
Yes, crew members will take a percentage of ANYTHING you earn, even if they're just sitting in the lounge. If you're not using them, sack them.Hi. Is anyone else not having their bonds counted in the CG? I of course signed up first, then earned a load of bonds, then handed them in a Rescue Ship Cornwallis. However, even after jumping to a new system and changing ships, it's still showing me as 0 Credits Earned, which is wrong.
I've don Bonds type CGs before without issue. Sometimes there's a little lag before it updates, but usually a jump to a new system will see it update. I may try relogging... yep, that worked, but it's only counted some of the bonds I earned. Is this just the "tax" the game charges for having a Crew member (even if the lazy git has done NOTHING) as the amount in shown in "Your Contribution" is about 10% less than I actually earned.

So go old school, 4 AX weapons and 4 conventional ones then you can deal with anything. There are plenty of gankers around Jameson. My Bugsplattaconda’s AXMCs can’t do them much damage![]()
