Uncle Gossip is in the room...

I know a guy who’s cousins with a guy that lives in TX and works at CIG.
I don’t claim this to be true. I’m just sharing what I’ve heard. Here’s the exact quote:
“You will get to see the destinations on the other side of the 2 other jump points in Stanton, that’s all I will say”.

3 systems altogether? That's a step forward to...

Almost there!

"Resource Network is a replacement for the Pipe system you may have heard about"

Early days!
Too frustrating watching that video. After 10 years their "...goal right now is to physicalize components...." gave me flashbacks to bad bosses.

"2 other" would imply at least 4 with Pyro and Stanton. Nyx is behind Pyro, so could still be in and was supposed to be worked on since 2022 at least.
Terra was in earlier gossips. It's system #5 that is flipping between Magnus and Castrovalva.
Getting close to that 5 systems MVP.
I don't even know if that "5 systems thing" is even official or some dream crafting by Citizens, I just remember reading it.

As I recall there was a comment from someone at CIG who said SC would release with 5-10 systems. The community exploded and they said they were misunderstood and that it was 5-10 systems for pre-release or something like that and they were still targeting all systems for the full release. Think it was around 2016-2017.

Pipeline summarised the Meshing Post Mortem...

## Server Meshing Tests:
Our test objectives are to:
  • Identify areas needing optimization to achieve low-latency replication at scale with the actual game and real players.
  • Pinpoint game features that require adjustment for high player counts.
  • Pinpoint game environments that need adjustments for higher player counts.
  • Uncover bugs related to server transition, server recovery, and other quirks introduced by the meshed setup.
  • Confirm changes and improve the game experience at higher player counts (from a networking point-of-view)

We are aiming for a rapid iteration cycle to test our corrections and optimizations, ensuring progress at each step without interference from other changes to the game. Our goal is to conduct weekly tests, until it is time to rejoin the main development branch for the 4.0 PTU waves.

## Meshing Test "B" post-action report:
Meshing Test "B" was conducted on September 12 and was the first test on RMQ.

The results were disappointing and unexpected, but the previously identified bottleneck identified in Test "A" was confirmed fixed.

## Meshing Test "C" post action report:
Meshing Test "C" was conducted on September 19 and included performance optimizations.

Test C was the first to use a build with the legacy NMQ system stripped out.
This test was a big step forward. We were able to successfully identify additional issues present, but walked away from this playtest feeling optimistic.
