DLC18 discussion and predictions

Guys, we already have a lot of flags in the game: triangular, squared, flexicolour, individual pieces to space the flags apart... We have some lanterns too. They are a bit different, but the new DLC image is a concept art, not a screenshot from the game, so the pieces don't need to be identical. Of course, the pack could bring some pieces, but I don't think we need more flags and lanterns precisely.

urg, damn, I thought the Indian flags were square...stupid fini

I've seen quite a few people suggest the ABB, but it could amount to overkill. If we are getting a Spectacled Bear with this DLC, then adding in 2 very similar black bears, when we already have a lot of bears in game, would be heavily criticized.
Something like a Rhea, which you also mentioned, would be solid. But I think a spider monkey would be perfect. They added the brachiation to the base game, so they could modify the Gibbon rig and really make a splash.
The spider monkey would likely need some animations of its tail holding on to the climbing bar, so probably too much for a free animal

The image is more confusing the more I think of it. Highlands is still a logical go with some mountains and the three species. But the tents and stuff make me think of camping. Sure, could be in the mountains. Or maybe we get some meaningless term like a 'Wilderness' pack, or 'Exploration' as I just saw suggested in this thread. However, if that's the case the zookeeper makes even less sense than it already did. My guess is the artist let his imagination run wild and nobody cared to really check up on details. After all it looks pretty neat.

In any case, Frontier has done a great job of making us confused, speculating about things once more and they'll probably surprise us once again.

Whatever, the name is not important. If this DLC gives me any two of the following: Wild Yak/GSNM/Asian Golden Cat/Tufted Deer/PD Deer/Golden Pheasant/Himalayan Monal/Yellow-throated Marten, I don't care what they are called.

It's no exaggeration to say that if the remaining species include 4 or more of the species I mentioned above, I wouldn't mind calling it "cream cake DLC". Hahahaha

Hmm, I haven’t used the flags in the game that much so I didn’t realise we already had square ones more similar to typical Tibetan prayer flags. I still think it’s most likely mountains based off of the animals in the keyart and the cool alpine blue haze, but the fact they chose triangular flags over rectangular ones is interesting.

What if the "tent" (for me it's just a mountian lol) is a kind of hotel as part of the update?
The shape is too regular for a mountain. That would be a pretty weird mountain tbh

And these weird chains, we haven't had anything like that before? They look like birthday party garlands

This is absolutely a possibility and I am looking into it too much, but if this is concept art for a mountain/ highlands pack it certainly doesn’t feel like one!

Yeah, I think everyone agreed on that. The lanterns and the tent are the only two things that look new compared to what's ingame; but whilst the keyart isn't the same as concept art, the key art has used generic assets in previous ones as well.

If not mountains, what other themes are people thinking it could be? I don’t think it’s a general collection pack for reasons I’ve outlined previously, and I don’t think it’s Asia because we only just got the Eurasia Pack (well, nearly a year ago but only two DLCs back) and that would overlap too much IMO, especially if it also has a colder leaning like this image would imply. I’m curious what other possibilities there are.

Adventure/exploration/adventure, all three words are fine. Well... the story level can be that the rich girl we are familiar with went to explore/explore/adventure somewhere, and accidentally discovered a zoo on the verge of bankruptcy, and she wanted to take it over. But all this is actually the plan of the "shrewd Wall Street manager"... The purpose is to make her fall into a bottomless pit, and her financial situation will become bad and difficult to get out.And your job is to help her and turn the zoo back into profit.

I really don't get the hate for the Pallas Cat. Everyone wants some specific animal to make it into the game. There's no need to hate the ones others want sigh
Yea like me with the Hyrax
What's next? The color blue hints a theme of sadness, sadness for the final pack for planet zoo?
It might be if half the animals are ungulates
Hmm...if it's a "Dry Canyon" themed DLC...then "Camping Tent" makes sense. Wait guys...if this is an "Exploration" DLC?
I mean that could be it, but Eurasia already had that theme in the promotion so I kinda doubt it, but I would not mind that.

Exploration? Maybe it will have a mix of old and new world? The celebratory stuff is throwing me off, like what is that tent??
