DLC18 discussion and predictions

This is how conspiracy theories start
I'm such an anti conspiracy-theorist type of person, that kinda hurt 😅 I'm a linguist so I pay extra attention to grammar and punctuation. But AndyZoos pointed out that they have capitalised the word anniversary before in their messaging, so my point is possibly moot.

I'm very open-minded as to what the DLC might be but the wording, the imagery and the fact that this pack has been six months in the making, all suggest to me that a finale pack is not wild speculation. It's actually what the majority of us have been predicting for ages. We've had only 24 hours now of wondering if it's that or Highlands. I'd prefer that it's Highlands and that support continues, but I'm leaning towards Anniversary Pack as speculation.

Anniversary Animal Pack sounds good tbh. All the party decorations... and the Zookeeper, I mean... I really can't stop thinking about it. After all, WE are the Zookeepers. Frontier always calls us that too. It's the 5th anniversary.
And then I think to myself: "yes, but for an anniversary pack, I'm not choosing the cat as the key art animal..."
Why does it all make no sense 😭

Regardless of the theme of the pack, if the Pallas Cat is part of the pack, it's the obvious animal to put as your focus animal. It's literally the "aw cute, grumpy cat" kind of animal that does well with broader audiences.

For me, regardless of theme, the Pallas Cat is one of the biggest no-brainers to put as a key art animal.

I'd imagine the baboon was the one they knew would be bad to put up as the headliner, not only do a lot of people not like the way primates look, but the baboon can be a little creepy to look at

Really? OK... that's not an animal I would choose as an anniversary animal. But that might also be because I don't like cats. And its not a cute animal tbh 😅

Which is why it just puts me in disbelief that it "will be" a Zookeepers/Anniversary Animal Pack
If it was the last DLC, I would use really random animals (completely unconnected to each other, this dictionary leak strongly hinted at it), as they did in JWE2, although, I don't take JWE2 as some kind of determinant here....
At least that's what I would do...

Same for me, although I'm looking forward to markhor the most out of these three
Only just, all the banners up to that time immediately indicated what it was going to be, even for the average gamer who is not necessarily familiar with the genres.... I know that fewer and fewer of these “known” animals are left, because the large majority are already in the game, but here it is probably just justified “show the small cat, there was no such thing yet, people will buy.”

But the screen quality is great and we can see a another markhor in the back
