DLC18 discussion and predictions

I’m not sold on this being some kind of celebratory pack- I think you’d want to make that very clear from the outset by featuring wildly different animals in the key art, rather than three animals who can be easily categorized into one highly requested theme. Squinting really hard at tents and paper lanterns seems a lot less sensible than just taking the known animals at face value.

Also, I’ve been out of the loop for a while, hated the farm animal pack and wasn’t really tapped in during the summer drought. What’s this dictionary everyone keeps referring to?

This dictionary has a number of words that are ‘clues’ to upcoming animal... However, markhor has disappeared, although it was previously there, as a word...

I Am Surprised No One Has Talked About The Rest Of The Potential Roster That Much So Here Are My Predictions For An Asian Animal Pack And A Mountain Animal Pack (The Yak Is The Domestic Yak). Each Animal In The Mountain Pack Represents Well Known Mountains From Around The World Markhor And Pallas's Cat Represent The Himalayas, Hamadryas Baboon Represents The Ethiopian Highlands, Alpine Marmot And Rocky Mountain Elk Are Obvious, South Island Takahe Represents New Zealand's Southern Alps, Spectacled Bear Represents The Andes and, Lord Howe Island Stick Insect Represents Ball's Pyramid ( I Know It's Not As Iconic As The Others).

Never thought of doing Takhe before, replace the Takhe with Secretary Bird or Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo and Alpine Marmot with Rock hyrax and I would like this alot

Interesting. Noticed “secretary”- not the only profession listed in the dictionary, but seems oddly specific when you don’t have words like “teacher” or “firefighter.” Also noticed that you can absolutely make “honey badger…”

They could be leaks, mistakes, mind changes, or literally could be Frontier adding/removing them just for the heck out of it to see if we're paying any attention. There is no way of knowing.

Hamadrya's and Markhor were added as animals this pack with markhor being added the day after we started talking about "leaked" animals.

Dictionary should be treated much bigger then a Malfunction Ignoring

Even with the apparent link to this pack and the dictionary, I still don't trust it at all. It's a very inconsistent way of speculating what animals can come.

Other weird things I’m noticing:

Moray (like a Moray eel? Curious)
Menelaus (this is a character from The Iliad- no idea why this is in there)
Hermann (isn’t there a Hermann’s tortoise? Unless that’s in the game already and I just forgot)

somebody recommended we will see trailer tomorrow, I certainly am hopeful. I am a bit skeptic on what they are planning with the African leopard and whatever else . Could it be that you get the leopard with the free update that happens on dlc release day? Or is this a seperate thing that will not be concurrent with the dlc? I still find it very irritating that frontier decided after all these months of frustration and impatience not to give us a full answer.

Its quite hard to believe that, an announcement trailer 2 days after a stream makes me spectacle. This source is incredibly wrong, I'm going with Iden's answer with the October 4th announce.
