heck aussie reptiles in general are the bestYou can say that again
I just don’t think it’s important due to not many zoos near me having them. The Midwest barely has any deers in general but they are rare in AZA zoos.I'm from here and think the WTD is almost as important as the ABB.
Plus, kangaroos are pests in Australia. And dromedary camels and wild boars are pests everywhere. The whole "it's a pest here don't want it" argument is so silly because animals can be considered pests anywhere
Will still maintain, and be devil’s advocate, that the Kirk’s dik-dik is essential. I downloaded a mod of it and it changed how I play the game.I know I've been reposting this but to keep it fresh. It's looking like the final and next pack is a Celebration pack theme. So far we have 2/8 dictionary animals confirmed, one that was out of the dictionary being Palla's. This means that this pack will and has to be a 12 animal pack so is Sifaka and Dik-Dik being 2/12 animal's that bad. I mean one solves the small ungulate niche and the other can bring some pretty cool and hardcore animations.
Expect this pack to be the same price as GhostBusters DLC Collaboration.
Once again the dictionary animals "leaked" were,
Markhor
Hamadrya's Baboon
Sifaka
Echidna
Dik-Dik
Goodfellows
Secretary
Spurred [As in African Spurred Tortoise]
Thorny devil, perentie, Saltie, Freshie, not to mention the countless snakes...Frilled Lizard
I dunno about the Midwest, but I'm from the South (Texas specifically) and every zoo I've been to that has deer usually has the WTD. Maybe they aren't AZA accredited, but that's what I've seenI just don’t think it’s important due to not many zoos near me having them. The Midwest barely has any deers in general but they are rare in AZA zoos.
It really is needed, it's gonna bring a new way to build the game without mods. Will still maintain, and be devil’s advocate, that the Kirk’s dik-dik is essential. I downloaded a mod of it and it changed how I play the game.
You’re misreading me here: I’m specifically responding to the oft-repeated (seemingly by just one very persistent guy) theory that this pack is really a bunch of small real themes stapled together disguised as a “grab bag” pack. It would feel very scummy for them to have thought of a full mountains theme for an animal pack, chopped out 4-5 of the animals, and intentionally withheld the rest for the sequel, which is the only way I’d be able to read a choice like this. A real grab bag pack wouldn’t have mini-themes, it would either just be truly random critters or the very most popular feasible choices selected from community feedback.Nah, a general theme is the best possible outcome TBH. It would open a lot more options in terms of species selection. It's a pretty great look, TBH. Much better to incorporate species from across the globb and of different varieties than to focus on a specific region or biome.
Also: A PZ sequel is an excellent look for Frontier. Anybody who is a PZ fan and says they won't pre-order it when it releases is lying to themselves. The discourse from a lot of people around this is going to age poorly. After 2+ years of no new content people will be ready to press the reset button I can 100% guarantee it.
Those a teasers, not themes and they aren't a grab bag. These animal's have been requested for years since the beginning. This pack is supposed to be a celebration of the 5 years of Frontier Planet Zoo all coming together with High Meta wishlist animals to have a final ending for Planet Zoo and a new Era for PZ2 probably in 2026.You’re misreading me here: I’m specifically responding to the oft-repeated (seemingly by just one very persistent guy) theory that this pack is really a bunch of small real themes stapled together disguised as a “grab bag” pack. Me to, especially the snakesMakes me wish there were mods that revamped the exhibit animals, but they tend to be forgotten or ignored or disliked![]()
Nope, I am right there with youI've missed a lot of pages but I'm curious, am I the only one still thinking it's a Highlands pack?
Sorry about that, I thought elephants where ungulates so the same could be true for hyraxes, I am genuinely sorry, butIf your going to confidently state a fact please make sure it is correct they are not by any means ungulates any more than an elephant or an aardvark are
Looks like I am right, but hey TheNamesJonas, where did you get this information, just curious. They have been promoted to the ungulate family, happened just today!
This reminds me that we haven't had a new splash screens in forever. I'd love at least 1 new splash screen per DLCI really hope when we see Sifaka in the trailer hopefully, frontier shows a group of the jumping in a line. Now that would make my day.
Oh man, don't remind me of the empty reptile houses I haveIt's actually crazy we have only had one DLC exhibit lizard to be honest
Me to, like a Alpine Goat ramming into the Planet Zoo Logo or bat's flying around and perching on it.This reminds me that we haven't had a new splash screens in forever. I'd love at least 1 new splash screen per DLC

Yeah those are neat, but let me introduce your to the absolute top treasures australia has to offer:Thorny devil, perentie, Saltie, Freshie, not to mention the countless snakes...
Please keep the spiders away, though...
Ah yes, the highly requested… 57th on the wishlist African Spurred Tortoise, which I never heard anyone mention beyond a cursory “they were in ZT2 I guess.” Truly one of the great rallying points of community sentiment. Those a teasers, not themes and they aren't a grab bag. Once again, there is no "holding choices" there was 8 habitat animals "leaked" through the official Planco and PlanetZ Dictionary. You’re misreading me here: I’m specifically responding to the oft-repeated (seemingly by just one very persistent guy) theory that this pack is really a bunch of small real themes stapled together disguised as a “grab bag” pack. People have been asking for the African Spurred Tortoise for a long time now, its been wanted by many as it's really liked. It also doubles as a reptile and I think a lot of people have been wanting it. Sifaka, is the strange one as its not really been asked, but more of a Oddball for this pack. But I do like it and the animations it could bring.Ah yes, the highly requested… 57th on the wishlist African Spurred Tortoise, which I never heard anyone mention beyond a cursory “they were in ZT2 I guess.” Truly one of the great rallying points of community sentiment.
If this was a "scummy grab pack" how do you propose them adding, Secretary Bird, Tree Kangaroo, Echidna, African Spurred Tortoise, Dik-Dik that were founded in the Dictionary. You’re misreading me here: I’m specifically responding to the oft-repeated (seemingly by just one very persistent guy) theory that this pack is really a bunch of small real themes stapled together disguised as a “grab bag” pack. What do you mean "things to use"? You mean the climbing frames every other primate can use?Sifaka is also bringing a new way, as its animations and unique playability will bring things to use.
Hopefully the walk animation and running animation with the climbing/jump animation is different so they can truly capture it's true nature in the real world could see some amazing builds inspired by the Bronx Zoo Madagascar house where it can jump from Frame to Frame with its iconic energetic looks. What do you mean "things to use"? I'm sorry but I can't see how building for a sifaka would be any different than building for any other lemur or gibbon we already have.
