I think the new DLC is going to be a Highlands Animal Pack. And we already have confirmed two animals that will appear in this new DLC.
  1. Palla's Cat (LC)
  2. Markhor (NT)
  3. Baboon ???
  4. Spectacled Bear (VU)???
  5. Ethiopian Wolf (EN)??? (It's a personal wish. It's also one of the rarest canids in the world and the most endangered carnivore in Africa)
  6. Bighorn Sheep (LC)???
  7. Matschie's Tree-kangaroo (EN)???
  8. Chinese Giant Salamander (CR) [exhibit] ???

This would be one of my favorite packs if it included both the Ethiopian Wolf and the Spectacled Bear. But watch it have neither.

I honestly think a December release for the next DLC isn't out of the question at all. We've always had a DLC release in December, regardless of how much time has passed since the previous DLC release.

"Frontier hates South America" is just a silly meme. The spectacled bear actually has a very decent chance of getting in. Of every South American species, it's probably the easiest for them to implement at this point. They have plenty of bear models to work with, after all. If the new pack is indeed "Highlands" as it appears to be, I would not at all be surprised to see the spectacled bear showing up in the roster.

Probably. If the current one is a finale, I think they'd go out of their way for at least a couple Americans.

It will be 3 Animal Packs in a row with the current one, so that seems pretty accurate. Barnyard does seem like the max of scenery going forward.


With still quite a few possibilities, it doesn't really make sense to predict what's beyond just yet.

Any missing dictionary species will seem more likely, assuming there are some left.

I yearn for the Islands theme, even though it doesn't really make sense.

What about ethiopian wolf as a member of this "mountain" animal pack? I think that is really interesting a new canid in PZ and it's really a mountainous animal, more than animals like Hamadryas baboon (Gelada was better for this theme too)

I'd be happy to see Ethiopian Wolf as well. The whole community however would not. They say that they shouldn't be in game because they've never been in captivity. Yet, the Saiga (which is almost not represented in captivity) or the Pangolin are perfectly fine. People also say we have enough canids whilst wanting more pigs or bears or penguins.
As far as Andean Bear, I'm 80% certain it will show up in this next pack depending on the theme. It was a wishlist animal of mine but after Sloth Bear I don't necessarily want it. But its an adorable animal that I'm sure Frontier will pull of beautifully.
