I hope that if something on the forums ever swayed frontier to add something its this poor mans plea for the best animal most people dont even know they needed.

I see everyone's happy with this news, what does it mean?
So guys, I got a fun idea, make your worse case scenario for a Highlands Pack (include the 3 confirmed species even if you like them) for me I would say
Pallas Cat
Hamadryas Baboon
Markhor
Wild Yak
Andean Mountain Cat
Ethiopian Wolf
Kodiak Bear
(Exhibit Animal) Lord Howie Island Stick Insect
I don't hate all these animals (besides the inferior wild yak) but all together in one pack it would be my worse case scenario, but anything without a hyrax would be worse case scenario

So compared to the last 3 dlcs, how much longer do you think we have? Like do you remember what the wait time was between the dev_final_branch and the announcement?
prod_final usually means that the Steam page for the new DLC is ready if I am not mistaken. Basically wrapping everything up.

This is usually the last "branch" that receives an update ahead of the DLC release. Usually, this means a formal announcement is right around the corner. That's what I knew when I posted this, anyway. Hah! I've since learned from Iben that it's maybe some sort of end-line testing (a final quality-check before release)...
But yeah, usually this means we'll be getting an announcement in the very near future (i.e., maybe this week but certainly next week if not).

So potentially something this week, but I don't think we'll get the release next week due to them always showcasing the animals throughout the week building up to the release, be we will very likely know more about the anniversary stuff and the free update by Friday (if Frontier plays ball I guess).
So my thinking is we will get DLC info between now and next Tuesday (Friday, Monday, and Tuesday seem to be the most likely days) with the release on the 15th (or 14th or 16th if Frontier is quirky I guess).
Unrelated, but does anyone know why we got the Eurasia pack on a Wednesday? I never got that

Yeah, I don't see a DLC getting released next week. Even if we get a reveal tomorrow then I think it's safe to say we're waiting until the following Tuesday (10/15). There's a chance they release it on an odd day but I kinda doubt it.
I am honestly wondering now if we might get update info on Thursday with a trailer reveal on Friday...
I'm not really sure, TBH. Could have had something to do with the time of year, people being on vacation on certain days, etc. There's a lot of reasons that could have happened that time of year.

True, but wouldn't that mean that it would be better for a Monday or normal Tuesday release? But I guess we'll never know (It's actually Frontier messing up the release day on the announcement post and forgetting to change it)
Yeah, for how strange people in this community can get (looking at like 5-10 pages back...)
