Today is possibly the day, if they're going to release the trailer for World Animal Day, they have to consider the time zones. New Zealand is 12 hours ahead of the UK. So if they release at 5pm UK time on Thursday, Kiwis will wake up to the news. So it will either be late today or very early the next day, they won't wait until late Friday to drop the trailer. Cause if they do, people in Australia and New Zealand will be going to bed and probably won't get the news until the day AFTER World Animal Day.

What if the theme of the next pack is the Afro-Asia or Afro-Asian pack? It would include African and Asian animals. It would fit the confirmed and supposedly leak dictionary animals.

Dictionary Animals
1-Hamadryas (Confirmed to be Hamadryas Baboon in the upcoming pack). (Africa and the Middle East aka Asia)
2-Markhor (Confirmed for upcoming pack) (Asia)
3-Sifaka (Madagascar aka Africa)
4-Secretary (Assumed to be part of Secretary bird.) (Africa)
5-Dik Dik (Africa)
6-Civet (There's the African Civet but there's also species that live in Asia.)
7-Impala (Africa)
8-African Spurred Tortoise (Africa obviously)
9-Goodfellow (Assumed to be part of Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo. If you really stretch the term a lot, New Guinea could be considered part of Asia.)
10. Echidna (Same as above assuming there are Echidna in New Guinea.)
11. Pallas Cat (Not in dictionary but confirmed in upcoming pack.)
12. (Whatever our exhibit animal is.)

And if we're lucky, maybe we'll get one more pack called "The Americas" that's divided between South American and North American animals. Or even better 2 more packs, with one dedicated entirely to South American animals and one dedicated entirely to North American animals. Sadly, this would mean no Tanuki or Ethiopian Wolf since all the spots in the Afro-Asia pack are taken, but The Americas pack might offer us a chance for the Spectacled Bear. Although 12 animals in one pack is kind of pushing it since Grasslands only had 12 animals because it had 5 exhibit clone species.

This would also avoid them having to use the terms Old World and New World as Eurasia and its upcoming "sequel" Afro-Asia would be the "Old World Pack Parts 1 and 2" and The Americas pack would be the "New World Pack 1 and 2 if divided into 2 separate packs" or maybe alternatively, The Americas would just be one pack divided between North and South America and they'd still have "New World Pack Part 2" but it'd be called Australasia and include species from Australia, New Guinea, New Zealand, and other random islands that are considered part of that geographic region. But mainly I just want another pack that addresses North America because I really want a coyote in the game and I also want another pack that addresses South America because I really want the spectacled bear and coati.

The deleted name club seems like it's got the highest chances, with 2/5 being confirmed. They're also in the Metawishlist top 50, unlike the Civet, Impala & Hedgehog, which are below the top 100, so it's a pretty stark contrast, with a lot of preferred candidates in between, including several higher Africans & Asians, both Ungulates and Carnivores.

For Old World + Eastern Hemisphere, the stuff from the top 50 puts it at 9 habitat species, whereas taking out the Oceanians makes it 7, but it still has the issue of no European, which I guess could be filled by a Mediterranean Chameleon or other European exhibit, though it's not really asked for.

If it's a Zookeeper's collection, having this much Africa & Asia, if balanced in any way it'd have to be a pretty big pack for representation of the other continents, something like 14-16 species. They've certainly had the time to do that, but I don't think they realistically applied the resources. If it was that much larger, it probably would be more species in the artwork than the typical three.

You would think so, but no they generally just work by their time I'm pretty sure. Barnyard was announced on World *Earth Day, at 2pm BST by the looks, so we should have more than a day to go.

Barnyard released on April 2024, World Animal Day is always on October 4. Oceania released in September, Twilight was announced on October 7 after World Animal Day. North America pack did release on exactly October 4 of 2021, but from my remembrance, it dropped at 12AM regardless of timezone.

Earth day is what I meant, sorry, wasn't paying attention. The news post has a timestamp, I guess the trailer might be slightly different.

I'd say it's pretty much impossible to account for all timezones and they're more likely to do it on Animal Day in their timezone than to do it the day before. I've seen no indication from Frontier that they ever really take into account other timezones than primarily those in the Northern Hemisphere, so I don't see why that would be different this time around.

I'm not arguing if that's good or bad thing (nor have the interest to do so), but that just seems to be the way they're handling it.

From experience I can safely say they dont take timezones into account based on most frontier unlocked streams occurring a day off at 3-5 am for the eastern most timezones and most announcements happening around that time to. The only exception to this is that pack releases are usually around 10pm on the correct day of release.
The most likely time for an announcement is animal day in their timezone not any other.

I agree Friday is more likely than today, but I'm also arguing we are more likely to see an early Friday release (noon or earlier) than a late one (4pm), because of the time zones consideration. If you release at 4pm, most people in Australia and New Zealand will be asleep and it won't be October 4th for them anymore when they wake up. Therefore I expect a Friday morning trailer release, between 10 am-noon UK time.

In any case, I just want to take this moment to thanks those content creators who remain active on the discussions of this forum beyond just promoting their videos, like @Iben, @Leaf Productions or @CharlieXGaming (I'm sure there are some more)
