I think clearer communication is definitely needed especially when it comes to the status of the game since we are at the point were the uncertainty is directly affecting I think the game would of benefited much more from something similar to what the sims does which is a major post announcing everything coming in the next quarter with some overt and subtextual hints so saying there will be one animal pack with a some mountains in the backdrop of the post or some other theme indicators would do speculation wonders community would have an idea of the future and a grounded base to start theorising. I still think the major teaser streams are a good idea cover the free update drop more direct hints and then either announce the pack next day or drip feed the animal over a week.
Yeah absolutly. Imo the big problem with the speculation streams was that they didnt get to the point, felt like they wasted my time and allways came like a day before the actual announcement.
Imo the best concept would be a drip feat over their social media once the pack is announced. Something as simple teasing the entire pack early with hints like a riddle, funfact or just a pic of a body part does not just build hype, it also decreases disappointment on the full announcement.
For this dlc, imagine this timeline:
25.9.: Frontier unlocked stream, teaser image
27.9.: Picture of the pallas cats tail as an "who is this" type deal
29.9: Pic of the markhors horns
1.10: Pic of the hamadryas ear tuffts
3.10: Pic of something from the free update or a 4. animal
4. 10: Official announcement
Would this be so hard? This would have actually intentionally build hype instead of whatever this is and all by just showing things we allready know
