DLC18 discussion and predictions

I feel like we're just asking for the bare minimum within reason. After the layoffs, did they get a random programmer to manage their social media? This whole decision making issue with the silence and lack of more teaser images (not necessarily in-game screenshots, prior to the actual announcement) doesn't look like a supposed professional at marketing.
There is a Community Manager, but I don’t know if they are dedicated to PZ alone. My best guess is it’s possible they had other staff members take the job over.

Though I do agree, the lack of anything is annoying.

What in the 'consume product don't ask questions' is this? The whole community has not been requesting a tapir or lion rework for nothing and for this to make any sense.
Again, missing the point. Y'all act like I'm saying criticism is bad when I have not said that it's bad. What I said was that if you see a product that's bad, buy it, then complain, that's the problem. It's good to give feedback, yes, but to act like our demands must be met at every point and how the company doesn't care and don't deserve anything is the wrong way to view things

They introduced a new community manager in a stream, but that one was suspiciously close before the announcement of PC2 so i assume thats what they hired them for

It's nearly 7pm for them. The devs have all probably went home by now
Oh wow, I didn’t even think of that. I’m gonna work on some theories:
  1. The SteamDB was barely updated all day. Not until within the past 3 hours or so. Even then, it mostly sat empty all day. I don’t remember who mentioned it, but it’s possible they had some sort of meeting.
  2. The World Animal Day/ Zookeeper day post was made very last minute. Probably within an hour of the offices closing, or at the very least most people went home.
I’m thinking something was happening at the office, probably some sort of meeting. It would make sense for the Social Media team to be busy with PC2, and then remember “Oh Crap” because ITS WORLD ANIMAL DAY AND ZOOKEEPER DAY. So they had to rush to make something. I wouldn’t be surprised if the dlc is near complete, but as always something seems fishy.

How to engage with your community on very important day….

FWIW, there are some differences in that screenshot compared to what we currently have in-game. So maybe it's not quite as inane a post as it seems. There might be a few other little things but:
  • Those mats on the ground aren't currently anywhere in-game (not in the keeper hut or as stand-alone pieces)
  • The table on the far right is longer and has an extra food bin instead of the clutter that was there previously (e.g., the radio, fruit bowl)
So yeah, there might be more in there, and none of this is a hint toward a DLC but... Maybe they inadvertently (or advertently, if that's the positive version of that term LOL) shared a bit about the update?

EDIT: Credit for that spot goes to folks on the BroNation Discord.

While I'm disappointed that they didn't show a bit more excitement for World Animal Day/International Zookeeper Day, I will say that I'm just glad we got this far.
I'm just gonna move on and wait for the announcement next week. I think part of the sour taste in everyone's mouths is the fact that we overhyped the whole "gonna be teased the 4th" when in reality we told ourselves that. And that sourness leaked into Frontier's lack of communication and the small acknowledgement of the day today.
Come the actual announcement and everyone's gonna be singing praises. Happened before and it'll happen again, I'm sure of it. Untile then, let's all relax this weekend and start next week refreshed. I know I have some big PlanZo plans, and I'm hoping to share with all of y'all what I had in mind

Maybe they are gonna give us some customization to staff areas? That might be nice.

I want to reiterate my point again, there are a lot of people in this community who are willing to do some work for free, and I'm sure those jobs aren't that difficult, but sadly... you know what I'm going to say

I'm not really sure what to make of it. But I'm confident that they're giving the keeper huts an aesthetic update (maybe more?) as part of this next update. Because those mats just didn't pop in there by mistake. Haha. And the table didn't get elongated by accident. After work today I'm going to look at it all a bit closer to see if I can see anything else.

It'd be cool if we got all of the facility pieces as individual props though this doesn't necessarily point to that...
