Formidine Rift Expedition - The Third

Hello Everone,

On September 2nd, the third expedition into the Formidine Rift from the Delphi star system will start. Two years ago, I started leading a community expedition to this part of the galaxy. Back then, the idea came about on a whim on my Xbox Commander. Over five years ago, I happened upon this unique micronebula while searching the galaxy map and had carried out several individual explorations. Nevertheless, I wanted to draw some attention to this special feature, as, as far as I know, it is the only nebula in the entire Formidine Rift sector. And the third community expedition will start there soon. I'm excited to see how many people will join this time. From here on, all relevant information about the event follows: All activities are only available on PC in the Live Galaxy. The carrier T.A.T Kosmos Gopiy (T9Z-L3Z) will serve as the base for the entire duration of the expedition. The carrier will be located near the Oracle Station from August 20th. The main goal remains to explore and map the sector. Equipment will remain offline during the voyage, so please make sure your ships are already fully equipped. The shipyard will be online for the duration of the expedition. Pioneer Supplies and Vista Genomics are also online.

(If anyone would like to show their appreciation, I ask you to check out the commodity markets/bartenders on my carrier on Inara.cz on my profile and contribute. Thanks)

Below is the full list of routes. (It's the same route as last few years.)

The first stop takes place in the Bubble Sector PD-S B4-4. (Duration: 1 Day)
Second stop is the Heart & Soul Nebula. (Duration: 1 Day)
At the third stop we are in the Eafots EU-R c4-1 system. (Duration: 1 Day) Here and in neighboring systems are the abandoned settlements of the secret INRA expedition. The Alpha site is on the Eafots EU-R c4-1 C 2. The Beta site is on the Eafots LZ-H b10-0 (D 1) system. The Gamma site is at Eafots RA-G B11-0 (3). Eafots GL-Y e2 (6) hides the final settlement, the Delta site.
The fourth stop will be at the Syreadaie JX-F C0(1) system. (Duration: 1 Day) There is the modern generation ship Zurara.
Last stop is the micronebula around Hypau Phlai DV-Y E0. (Holding period: 14-28 days) The aim is to further explore and map the systems around the nebula.

After completing the expedition, the carrier returns to Delphi. (The return will be announced a few days before)

Greetings Cmdr.

Though I don't need a ride out to your destination, as I'm currently out in the Formidine Rift right now, just not anywhere near your destination at present...

I may however, be interested in joining your Expedition upon its arrival, and possibly hitching a ride back to Delphi during your return trip... presuming you have any slots open on your Carrier when the time comes!

Hello fellow Expeditioners...

I'm wondering if anyone knows what this "Blue Dot" is, circled in yellow near the top of my screen?

I've also circled Andromeda, in the lower left as a point of reference.... as this Blue Dot has been fairly persistent on my screen for sometime now since entering the Formidine Rift earlier this year... and its position in relation to Andromda has also been pretty much unchanged.

That's an extra-galactic feature, it's a pastime us old timers call "chasing the blue dot," after the many people who have tried chasing only to fail. The Ursa Minor Dwarf Galaxy I believe!

Thanks!

I was starting to suspect as much... figured I'd inquire before I "chased it" beyond the range of my Conda's FSD! LOL

I originally thought it was the very Nebula that this Expedition was targeting as its final stop, but after meeting up with the Carrier upon its arrival out here, I quickly discovered it was not, and in fact that, the "Dot" persisted after leaving the other side of the Nebula!

We ve reached our final stop. Stay safe and fly dangerous...

I'm currently docked on your Carrier...
I've just broken my arm, and I'm unable to play, and not sure when I'll be able to...
I would like to remain with you on your return trip back to the Bubble when you eventually go... and as soon as Im able too, I'll depart from your Carrier!
