Yeah I might have been a bit harsh, sorry about that, but hey, can you blame me, I didn't get my beloved hyrax 😢. Joking aside I do got to stop being such a Debbie downer, I mean even if this pack isn't my favorite, the PZ team gave us so much already that I should just be content with this, at least until we get a sequel.

Hyrax alongside Gelada and Barbary Sheep would be cool for the future. Even when I could Imagine we will not see one of them or even more unrealistic all 3 of them. Nevertheless These 3 animals are living together in my Most favourite Habitat at my local Zoo 🙂

With barnyard they told us pretty soon after its not going to be the last. If i remember correctly the day after the anouncement.

So i guess we will have to see. Although i really dont think there will be more, this one just screams final pack

I'm glad Sifakas move somewhat as they do IRL. Happy to be wrong here. After I got burned with the Barnyard Pack (and Arid) with the donkeys so much (and other things in tte barnyard pack) I don't blame myself too much for thinking otherwise. Plus, the screenshot was an imensly bad choice.
That said: The baboon looks great, the bear looks great, the tortoise (I don't care for) looks great. There is one piece in the free update I like.
It's not the last pack that the game deserves, I don't feel the imediate buy urge I felt with all other packs after the embargo drop and I'm just overall not happy with how things went down.
I hope Frontier can step it up again with how community feedback is worked with, step up sound and fur quality again and putting more love into DLCs and updates in PZ2s future and Planet Coasters future.

The Pack itself does not Scream it. We get an early Birthday Pack as the Birthday falls onto PC 2 Release. The only thing which might have an Impact is indeed PC2 coming Out soon. But I still have the Feeling that there could be at least one more Pack. As said only a feeling. Could or could not. We will see. If there will be more than 6 months without any hint or news I will agree that this was probably the end 😃

I'm scepitical about this pack not being the last, considering the pack description as "build the definite zoo", the scenery taking place on the Frontier zoo and the naming is very similar to that of the last JWE2 pack.

-Same naming idea as the last JWE pack
-Random grab bag theme rounding up a couple of requested animals
-Took forever to make suggesting most people have been moved to PC2
-PC2 release coming up

Pretty damning "evidence" imo

After watching several videos I don't have any problems with any of the new animals, they look good to me. The hamadryas baboon seems to be missing the Asia tag, but that's a minor thing that Frontier usually fixes quickly.

The apple tree and the jelly cake are cool, although it's a shame that we don't get more things. A second piece of foliage or a meat jelly cake would have been great.

The career scenario seems to be the best map they have ever created.

The building pieces... They are not for me. I saw a few things that can be useful, but most of the pieces are unnecessary for me (considering how I play). I wish we had had an exhibit animal instead. We wanted a chameleon and got a strawberry sign. I'm still wondering why. And talking about signs, the dik-dik sign seems too big. It's even bigger than the baboon.

So I'm satisfied with the DLC. It's a good one, but not an amazing one. I hope it's not the last one.

And bad punctuation. I'm sorry, but the new communications on the forum, socials and livestream give the feeling that they don't care at all about this game. I remember in one of the streams they showed pictures of the career scenarios for the console bundle and they just said "they look nice, with lot of stuff", like they didn't even bothered to look at the pictures.

This. To be fair, most CMs weren't really into zoos or animals, but they at least professionally "faked" it. Now? There is no heart and soul (or even quality management) in it.
The lay offs effected us as a community hard and for me also how I preceive Frontier as a company and their games and my expierince with it.
Conclusion? Good community Management and social media Management is vital, no matter the age of the game.

I agree, I said this earlier in the thread, but I really don't understand why they have disengaged from the community the way they have. The end of PZ (if it is) is not a good enough reason. We are the future customers of PZ2 after all.

Yeah, I don't want to be mean to the current CMs because some of them probably don't have much passion for this game but were put in charge of management of the socials anyways. Hopefully they hire more interested CMs for PZ2.

I suspect that because they were planning on ending support soon lots of planet zoo staff including most or all the social media were laid off, especially because many of these social media people won't need to be rehired for years until they start advertising the sequel
