I went from disappointed to excited then back to disappointed, like why not give us more plants frontier, WHY!!!

It's a good pack but also kinda confused at the same time, 7/10. But hey at least I got my Tortoise

My only issue is the species enrichment, the tortoise should be with more ungulates and even the pronghorn and the baboon with ibex. The dik dik should probably be with more also.

The Baboons would probably try to kill and eat the Offspring of those though if they have the Opportunity. You're probably confusing it with Gelada Enclosures because those can indeed have other Animals in them.
Is there even anything at all that some Zoos keep together with Baboons?

Surprised by no tortoise-meerkat enrichment.

Not sure if that would be such a good Idea, because Giant Tortoises sometimes eat Birds (was even filmed or photographed once, I think) so probably not the best Idea to keep such a small Mammal together with them

If we got our third caprid reward statue in a row and fourth in total I might have shriveled into mush lol

You mean Elephant and Red eyed Tree Frog because for those you can use the Souvenirs

The hamadryas getting interspecies enrichment with the African bush elephant is a very welcome surprise! Shame some of the more obvious combos weren't included, but I'm always happy to have more species to mix with my beloved phants :3

I really love the jellycake enrichment. I will put those in enclosures when an animal will mature so simulate animal birthdays.

Will be great because I've also celebrated a Gorillas Birthday in my Primatology Center once. So it's definitely useful

Because African spurred tortoies don't live that far South.Species enrichment is generally based on species that would be regularly encountered in the wild. The only exception is capybaras because of memes

Doesn't the Galapagos Tortoise also have Interspecies Enrichment with other Animals which wouldn't make Sense in that Context?
They should rather base it on Animals that are successfully kept together in Real Life

I made a quick google search after the realization and yeah, they do swim. Planet Zoo teaching me stuff once again.

Important Note to myself: don't build a Baboon Island!!! It would be pure Chaos

Also, Frontier definetelly have a problem with south American big carnivores colourmorphs, given that out of the four, only one has a morpho.

The useles tents are not that useless after all. Flexicolored and piece by piece. That i like.

Still not very excited about this. Fortunally dik dik, tortoise and bear look beautiful. And the Sifaka looks a lot better ingame.

Not to mention "dik dik" instead of "dik-dik". They've been phoning it in so hard on social media (among other places) since the restructuring last year.

Nubian ibex is the most common one afaik, and I want to say I've heard of them living with rock hyrax too. Not that either would have any bearing on this game. But yeah, baboons will eat juvenile antelope in a heartbeat. Which makes me question the rock hyrax thing, honestly.

As for the tortoise, though, they're paired with so many species in zoos it's a bit disappointing that they didn't make an exception for them as they did with the capybara. At the very least I feel like they should've gotten the other desert antelope (addax and scimitar oryx), but in zoos I've seen them paired with everything from llamas to capybaras to porcupines to red kangaroos and emus to muntjacs.

Same can be said with almost all mixed habitats, almost all herbivores will eat meat, but Tortoise/Meerkat has been done before in zoos and it is quite successful, besides this game let's guess go into Anteater habitat. I do think the Porcupine should get enrichment with the tortoise and Dik-Dik, and yes I know the Porcupine could hurt the dik-dik but it's unlikely.

I originally thought they were statues, but apparently, they're lanterns! I assume you can turn off the glow like the other light pieces to use them as statues though.

Now that you mention it, the rhino and the hamadryas would be sick too! I was mainly referring to the dik-dik and tortoise though.

The dik-dik surprisingly has none, but I would have expected a few of the other southern and eastern African herbivores to get a bonus from it, I've heard of a few zoos mixing them with aardvarks as well!

The tortoise only gets the dama gazelle, I would have liked the porcupine at the very least too. Despite being from the other side of the continent, they are mixed very frequently and successfully with meerkats:

for sure the most dissapointing part of the pack, ive seen them with pronghorn, aldabras, peccaries, zebras, pelicans, and even rheas!

Breekse Bergen in the netherlands keeps them with elephants

And Augburg in Germany keeps them with forest buffalos, it was really cool to watch this combination when I was there! I guess it would be possible with the Cape buffalo as well.

I like the Dik-Dik. Not an animal I was particularly excited about, but honestly the model does look really good.

Btw, I don't really get the very negative comments.

After watching Cesar's video about the dlc I'm more excited than before. Almost every animal in this pack got a new rig and/or new animations and are not just reskins. The sifaka looks very good, they definitely nailed the jumping.
Kind of an unpopular opinion: I think the effort Frontier put into this dlc is worth for a final dlc. Yes, I would have also loved to get even more animals, a bird and a new world monkey especially. New foliage would have been neat, too. And some of the building pieces I probably won't use much...
BUT all the effort Frontier put into these animals which are not just reskins, is fantastic and is worth for a final pack! (even if these animals are leftovers of previous packs)

I love how it's all "awww what a happy little family we got here" and then the two sifakas are just. Screaming.

In leafs video you can see they don't have an animation in the animal viewer just the default screaming pose while all the other animals look normal lol.

So I got Idea on how to make the pack just a bit better, not perfect, but better. First of all make the anniversary animal the Sulcata Tortoise, freeing a spot in the dlc.
I would keep Pallas Cat, Andean Bear, Markhor and Baboon, but replace the rest

Dik-Dik to Muntjac: I love you Dik-Dik but the Muntjac is just better

Sulcata Tortoise to African Crowned
Crane: sense the Tortoise is now a anniversary animal we can finally get a bird, and the Crane is perfect

Sifaka to Mantled Geruza or Aurra River Turtle: if they really don't want to give us a SA Monkey in the final pack then I got some ideas, the Mantled Geruza would give us a new tropical african monkey, which is quite useful or if they want to do a really weird and unique pick then the Arrua River Turtle gives us a large Turtle to put in are tropical houses, ponds, etc. Honorable mention to the Secretary Bird and Tree Kangaroo, maybe next time.

Add Cobra as Exhibit along side the scenery and charge for 15$.

I don't hate this pack by the way it is just a little disappointing, but I am just glad we didn't end on Barnyard.
