Powerplay 2.0 : what we know from partners' streams

I notice the documentation talks about systems being "in range" of a Fortified/Stronghold system a lot ... without ever giving away the crucial information of what that range is. I know it'll be pretty obvious from the map, but still...

It would be interesting if the control range of systems depends on just how fortified or strongly held they are, but controlled systems falling out of range without an actual change of Powerplay state in the controlling system would be less visible ahead of time and so harder to deal with for players, so I guess probably not.

Another question I've not seen the answer to yet: as an Aisling Duval pledge, can you go and undermine ALD/Patreus/Torval systems, or is the Empire still one big happy family?

I can't cite anything, but I believe internecine conflict within superpowers is a thing.

On this screen, can you scroll down to show the full list please?

I want to see what differences there are (like who commits crimes)

EDIT: looking on with the video you do- but what I'd like to know is what Aisling does to reinforce, to expand and to undermine from the list shown in the handbbok entry.
Yup, I can try to grab that tomorrow. If anyone wants to see anything else let me know and I can grab it at the same time.

Given that CC is no more, everything is 'good' and that having so many tiers (that you lose on defection) it will be interesting to see what Imperial powers prosper given there are more to dilute the pool of players. Maybe it will encourage alts (with differing pledges) to keep perk access and swapped at will.

Thanks!

I'd like to see the Princess equivalents to these:

Thinking of defecting?
:D nice try but the King is the best.

The purpose is to a) see what committing crime actually means and b) what it rewards (in a simple test thats quick to do).

When PP2 releases I can compare Aisling (who I assume does not have a crime focus) with The King who wants players to commit crimes. This will give me a clue as to what bonus (if any) having a power explicitly wanting you to do something provides in comparison to another who does not.

Thank you @Alec Turner, for doing this favor for us!

While I’m still a bit miffed that Alpha backers are excluded from this sneak peak, I really appreciate that you’re here on the forums answering our questions! (y)
No problem, thanks to this forum thread I picked up on the fact that folks who are REALLY knowledgeable and interested in PP2 (and far better placed to interpret it) don't have access and are trying to glean what they can from streamers who may not be showing what they want to see.

Incidentally, I don't know who's doing it but there's some good info here on module rewards:

I must admit I did do some er...ungentlemanly screeching at the livestreams when it was Mandalay Mandalay, ManDa;AY mandaLAIJNDASXWdibd

screeches

Will be interesting to compare to The King when then same is done.
As "The King" has commit crimes as part of their ethos, they should be getting more merits for murder than I did with Kaine.

Do let me know if there's anything you want me to take a look at (I'm pledge to Kaine at the moment and I'd rather not switch now... unless there's interesting science to do!)

Here's a list of Powerplay activities you can do (From the Pilot's Handbook -> Powerplay) - Apologies if there any any typos or copy-pasta issues!

Activities

Activities are the means by which Power Agents can influence systems involved in Powerplay and apply control score changes to them.

Each activity involved in Powerplay can be performed to either Acquire, Reinforce or Undermine. Powers will have preferred activities for each of these actions, see Power Ethos. but an agent can undertake any activity to perform an action they just won't receive the bonus if it is not one of their Powers Ethos activities.

Listed below are all the Powerplay activities grouped by the actions they can be performed for:
