Ty for PP 2.0 FDev

Hello commanders.

I am here to thanks Fdev about the PP 2.0, this is not a satire, so if you disagree, i have no problem with that. This is just to let Fdev know that I appreciate what they did with PP, finally, one of, if not, the most boring and stupid mechanic on the game have finally been updated to something that makes sense, and it is fun to play.

It is not perfect, but compared to what we had before? It is night and day difference.

in the past, I would refuse to poke PP with a 10Km pole. But now? Now I am finally hooked. It finally added some kind of progression, that doesn’t feel disjointed or meaningless like other type of progression we have right now in game, looking at you Federal and Imperial ranks.

I am glad to see what Fdev did with Mining, Engineering and PP. I can’t wait to see what they will do with the other mechanics that still look and feel unfinished. I am interested to see what the future holds for Elite Dangerous.

the system is good, but they need to make leveling up quicker for casual/new players. Us veterans will always find the most optimal way to phase out fun for efficiency

To be fair, as a casual, i don't think the progression is this abismal, i don't mind getting 2 to 5 levels a week. And by just doing the weekly assignments and some extra stuff, like Bounty hunting and salvage, i did end up with 2600 merits in less than 3 hours of gameplay. It is on par with lvling experiences of RPGs around the market. So not bad on my eyes.

Sorry, no thanks from me. The addition of PP 2.0 appears to have borked settlement loot/data for systems not under a powers control. Anybody like me, out in Colonia, just had a major progression block thrown up.

Bugs are expected, and as i said in my main post, "it is not perfect", still needs some fine tunning and maybe some additions. Adding those complains to the issue traker, maybe be bether than complaining on the forums alone.

It's on the issue tracker, mupltiple times, and is yet to be acknowledged. A bug is one thing, a major progression bug requires immediate attention.

Yeah, unfortunately buggy release is the new industry standard and we the consumers seem to have accepted it 🤦‍♂️
Yeah, we are in a weird position nowadays, where gaming companies of old have to give more attention to shareholders than players, where games evolved from a few thousant of lines of code to milions and where the least buggy games are moked by the industry for beeing too good.

I hope that means multiple responses to the one issue report not multiple differently titled issue reports, because the first looks like an issue affecting multiple players while the second looks like lots of minor issues not affecting many people which makes it/them less urgent.

There is my initial report, then what looks like two more after mine, one of which (ironically) is bugged, but the two the aren't have multiple responses from people.
