...in fairness, it's not just the engine that is unfit for purpose... I can happily nominate a couple of principle players who fit the bill...
Refactor citizen!
To be fair, I do have to nod my hat to CIG’s amazing technobabble ability; I really appreciate how much mileage they can squeeze out of a good ‘ol’ refactor.
They even have pipelines and roadmaps to the refactoring, and refactoring of the pipelines and roadmaps even! Let alone all the preparing to refactor going on.

At this point, not sure if any new patch and addition to the BDSSE is a troll or genuine work.
He's an odd one that one. Definitely seems to be an uber-fan (he's always quick to jump on the latest minutiae with a positive spin). But at the same time, seems to fancy himself as some kind of edgelord troll too.
