Went down from 72 to 14 per SLF.
Yep, nerfed exacly by factor of 5. Mertis earned per hour now by doing SLF's are about as effective as mining would be, 4-5k merits/hr.
It had to happen sooner or later, otherwise strongholds would be impossible to defend, with ealier nerf batch of other activities.
Lasted about week since my post how to abuse it, but it was to be expected.
Lets feast upon powergrind 2.0!

Thats why I was so quicky about it, since I did not belived it would last longer than week or two. Good thing I managed to get 34th level from it (while it lasted), as given these nerfs, there is litte point to continue PP for myself, since Kaine's level 34 was my only goal. Maybe it does not work in all penalties levels, this was was taken in one of mahon strongholds, in Leesti. Try diffrent strongholds, maybe some penalties are in effect, where you tried, but cant sure if thats even relevant.

I rather go back to ganking, than continue this nonsense. But before I unpledge, I think good idea would be see how many Kaine's cmdrs are required to kill to reverse my rank back to 0. Yup, its because of nerfs, I will become now even more evil. If anything, Fdevs are to blame for forcing me go that route

Although with it bugged (can only get merits for selling in the system you mine), you area not actually going to see premium values. I made more like 1.5K merits in about two and a half hours.
Deep core minig yields about 4-5k/hr but good system is required where is good profit per ton. These will dry out soon, I am afraid, of course, assuming mining in whole gonna avoid nerf hammer, by big IF, I might add.
Now only if frontier would be as quick to fix mining, as they did nerfed anything else.
