Farming Credits

There are numerous guides that purport to demonstrate means of earning silly money in a short amount of time, although I have no idea if any of them are capable of providing the desired amounts in the specified time-frame. I mainly earned my 20+ billion balance through FSS scanning and exobiology while taking the scenic route to Beagle Point and back. That took me several months of dedicated play.

Might I ask why you think you need such an astounding sum, and so quickly? A carrier is the most expensive item in the game and "only" costs 5 billion credits. A couple billion more and that gives you a good few years' worth of upkeep for a carrier with all the bells and whistles. 150 billion is a eyebrow-raising amount considering.

Hello CMDR i ask as i have come back to the Game after 4yrs +, i am a betta backer, i'm in the System our Squadron worked really hard for from the start, in the last 3 months a player with 38billion+ on his persona and 32Billion+ on his Fleet Carrier started tacking our systems. over 1 month ago his Credits on both his persona and carrier Went up over 100billion credits each in less than three days as well as working our systems. That's why i ask, just wondering if things have changed that much in the 4yrs+, im thinking is it worth my while to play Elite Dangerous any more. Regards Salmonella

I see. Assuming the player you're talking about did not use any exploits, he may have acquired that money by cashing a metric shedload of Exobiology first discoveries or AX War Bonds. To get those figures he would have had to be stockpiling such assets for a good while before converting them into cash.

You don't need hundreds of billions in order to fight back against that interloper. He might be stinking rich, but there's only so much he can do by himself. You and the rest of your squadron need to put in the BGS work to counter him, which will cost you money depending on what you're doing, but it's never going to cost 150 billion credits, even if you go absolutely crazy with donation missions.

HI Shir rest assured his Inara profile is right up to date, also if he did earn over 150+ billion credits it would have had to go into his persona account for him to Transfer the credits to his Carrier that did not happen. Thanks for your input. Regards

Hi Gabriel H, I can't tell you that i don't know how many hours he worked for it, all i know is he got it very fast, thank you and Cheer's

Two points with this. I think exobiology is the fastest way to make credits if you head out into the black. I've made over 3 billion credits in just the last four days (though I think I got lucky this week).

If somebody has increased their credit value by 100bn credits, it's very likely they've paid real money for them and bought a bot account. I wouldn't recommend that as it's very strictly against game rules and can get your Cmdr banned.

Hello CMDR Travers, Thank you very much for your input, i would have put a Report Ticket in to Elite Dangerous only there is know dropdowns that cover exploits as i could see. Thank you again.

In Shir's scenario, the Inara profile will be right up to date, now.

Suppose you start on your 150 billion cr mission in January. You stop using Inara.

Now it's November 1st. You start using Inara again. Your Inara profile will show that you have 150 cr AND your Inara profile will show that it is bang up to date.

On the second point, there's no way on Inara to look at Cmdr balance and FC balance individually, so where are you getting that information?

Sorry if you thought that was flaming, but he was Telling me there is know way.
there was no Question.

I was joking in general terms about the forum.

You’re suggesting they need to do their homework rather than explaining what they have got wrong. Doesn’t really help advance people’s knowledge. 🤷‍♂️

Short answer is yes. Very easy to have a carrier load of cargo that you've sat on for ages, data which you've gathered from a trip round the galaxy that you never claimed. Certainly with Exobiology I remember picking up 300 million from one system, so a month or so of getting lucky with that (3-4 systems per day for a month and don't hand the data until you've got masses of the stuff) and it seems plausible.

That's before we consider transfer of credits from someone else or an alt.

Not saying how likely any of this stuff could be, just that it's possible. Only FDev would really be able to find out.
