Correct me if iam wrong,as I don't own any currant gen consoles.But if a console can use usb mice and keyboards.

Mainly because they aren't standard, game controls are usually balanced for the standard controls for that system, for PC's that's keyboard and mouse. For consoles it's usually the controllers they come with. While it is possible to support both, it can become troublesome and in some cases inbalanced as anyone who tried playing QWuake on a Dreamcast against PC players found out
The other reason is simple cost/benefit, very few players use keyboard and mouse for gaming on consoles so the extra cost isn't worth it compared to other game features. Personally I much prefer a controller as my consoles are in my front room, using a keyboard and mouse wouldn't be as comfortable. I'm sure there are those that would disagree with me though

I have personally prefered the Keyboard/Mouse gameplay compared to the Controller method.
Many 1st person style PC games are using the wasd keys & mouse config which I find very easy to use.

The ps3 with certain games say unreal tournament and a few others are fully compatible with mouse and keyboards
I wonder if you use Keyb/mouse on PS3 you get the aim assist gamepad routine interpreting your mouse movement. Or would it direct aiming. No help direct feel. If so it is just like cheating.
Shadowrun Xbox360 and Pc gamer can get online with each other.
They head to balance both platforms to each other. Because the CP would own the consolers. so what more aim assist and criplle Pc. And there is some equality in game. But not perfect.
