Powerplay Selling Biological Data Weekly Assignment to certain system doesn't work, is it bug?

Just had the same thing ... got a 14 million sample, sold to a system that is marked as "Reinforcing" (Exploited) but no movement on the weekly mission AND no merits from the data sale itself ... despite (supposedly!) having a 20% bonus on this stuff ...
Maybe it's specific Reinforcement systems?
Could it be a distance from nearest Fortifed / Stronghold problem?

That shouldn't be possible as a problem for Reinforcement systems, since all Reinforcement systems have to be either a Fortified/Stronghold themselves, or in range of one.
It didn't work for me when it was just "sell bio data in a reinforcement system" either.
Well, I guess it's just borked then ... that's 5600 merits down the tube for a couple of hours work!!!
I'm not after the merits for exobiology, but my weekly assignment.

Similar to @elvigodo I was primarily trying to hit the weekly task for 5600 Merits but was kinda expecting something for the data itself as well ...
For me it is the same, I am with Aisling Duval, first I put together a batch of 7 million and it did not work, then I went to a more distant system and with a batch of more than 40 million it did not work either, as my assigned system was Wababa and there were a couple of planets with biological samples I tried with those, there being about 5 million and it didn't work either, literally 5600 merits that it seems that we are not going to see.
I played solo, not sure if it will work when you sell it while playing online.
I also play solo, although I have good ships for PVP, I don't have the patience to deal with so many PKs in open, they are honestly out of control.
Hmm … also Solo here … when I first logged in, none of the tasks even showed up until I logged into Open.
Might try turning in data in Open later - see if it makes a difference.
Same for me. The weekly assignment this week, week 49, stated to 'deliver biological samples to <namely specified system.>'. The samples should be worth 332163 credits. I tried that several times but no merits gained for handing in the samples nor did the assignment proceed in any way
Two weeks ago I also had such an assignment, but that proceeded. While I was lucky that there was a fleet carrier in the system with exobiology installed and active..Other wise there only was an outpost, so no vista genomocs present. Which by itself is a stupid way to generate assignemnts.
I handed in in private group, but since powerplay is not open only that really shouldn't matter. Since there are no biological features in the specified system this week, I had to get them from a different system. Also it is not stated in the assignment that the data must be from the system the assiignment is tied to, which, again, would be a stupid way to generate assignments when there is nothing present to get the data, nor to hand it in.

Ooooh - maybe it IS that the data has to come from the system? The amount is very low, after all …
Nope, I try that and still don't work, but again I do it in solo mode, not sure if in open works.
