20% Off on Steam

I've managed to keep positivity thus far even though I do feel some of the burns that you feel. I've simply decided for myself that it's ok, it will all happen properly in good time. But now this has made me very annoyed and I doubt that I'll pre-order any future Frontier games or buy one on release day.

This price point on the Premium Edition is making the Vintage and Thrill Seekers packs worthless?? How many of you have been trying to support Frontier financial difficulties in the last year or two? Here is your reward.

£62.98 spent so far at full price. Now everybody who did not support the launch because of the mass amounts of complaints is getting the saving. This should be a crime to be honest.

I gotta be honest I didnt expect a sale this quick, not even during the Steam Christmas sale. Personally I do not mind that I spend slightly more, what I do mind is that there is still so much stuff missing and broken that was working fine in the first game. That is the real crime real.

That’s a very patient reaction for sure Ramm. And I’ll continue to have patience with this game that I’m loving. But I won’t be such a fool next time. Definitely no preorder. And probably won’t lose much real game time by waiting a month after release.

The reason they did a sale this early is because obviously sales and player numbers are down. If the game was like the first game, we probably didnt get a sale this December.

But they need to understand WHY sales and player numbers are down in the first place. It's unbelievable they do not appear to be understanding this in any way from our perspectives.

I definitely agree. The game is currently detailed with such mixed reviews and some terrible general opinions. I do get why the price has to be lowered. It's a definite strategy fail though. Because it's still true that dedicated fans provided the support, and the complainers who have not supported are getting the reward.

I'm in the same boat. I've been cautiously optimistic and quietly irritated. Planco 2 launched with so many bugs and issues that I shelved it until this week's big update. Now I find out that the Premium Edition is cheaper and includes more than what my preorder Deluxe Edition has. Frontier got me good this time. They made sure the game looked its best and all the simulation flaws were buried before launch. I won't make that mistake with Frontier again.

I submitted a refund request today. I doubt it'll go through.

This games whole debacle reeks of upper management and shareholders doing. Plus a lot of the original Devs probably either moved on or were let go for cost cutting measures. This game feels like it was made by a totally different company, Its like 90% of the QOL features from the first game up and vanished. The Coasters are fine but the flat ride choices kinda suck in my opinion, It's a theme park building game and we don't even have very popular ones like a Scrambler? We have a dark ride with 0 spooky/horror scenery? I'm holding out hope as Frontier "Has" fixed stuff in the past but idk, The design choices are just odd and I'm super bummed at how this whole thing has turned out.

I feel you. I went from "I'm sooo hyped" over "Yes, it's buggy but give them the benefit of the doubt. They'll work it out over time." to "Are you f*ing kidding me?"

I really hope they will address this early next week. Because the silence is just making it worse, right now. The echo chamber of people, that feel betrayed will not end well for Frontier.

My comment was removed for swearing (really sorry! English isn't my first language and I didn't realise it was swearing, can't respond to it so I'm sorry!), so im gonna reply again with other words.

I'm really disappointed in this like others in this thread. This particularly seems to sour some of the people who have been putting faith in the company and have been keeping positive about things getting better. Im not gonna enjoy the game less because of a few bucks, but I'll definitely rethink pre-ordering next time.

Wait, the vintage rides are already buyable? Mkay... Never thought I would regret preordering, but I do now. That is indeed a middle finger at those who believed in the game early and spend more..

The vintage rides were not the 3 pre-order bonus rides, they were the first DLC which released together with the base game. There was no reason to believe the vintage back was preorder exclusive.

Before the discount, this first vintage DLC was more expensive than what we paid during the pre-order. However after the game didn't perform well, I guess Frontier had to put the new game on sale to try to get more copies sold during Christmas after the bad reviews.

When we pre-order something we get some bonus, but we also get some risks. This time, all of us who trusted Frontier have been negatively affected unfortunately. It was the first time I pre-ordered a game in my life and it's probably going to be the last time.

You're right. Still I don't feel rewarded for pre-ordering. With PZ the deluxe animals were available later, but they were expensive. Too expensive maybe. Now I could basically get more content than I got when I pre-ordered (with two DLCs basically) for even less money, if I looked correctly. For what? Yes, technically I was able to play a lot earlier and get some hours in by now. But... I got an unfinished, wonky game for my pre-ordering. Early playing was not a plus here. With the player expirience I am having it's almost a punishment even 😅

I'm a chronical pre-order or day 1 buyer usually, but I will think twice with the next Frontier game, ngl. Would need a lot of reassurance on the state of the game.

The three pre-order bonus rides are not available yet for anyone who didn't preorder. I think the confusion is due to the naming. The deluxe edition didn't include any preorder bonus, it just included a dlc available for everyone on day 1 but a little cheaper. We paid 15 € for that vintage DLC, which was sold on release day for 19 or 20 euros. Unfortunately due to the bad reception Frontier is offering a discount on the game, so we have paid more, but we are still getting 3 exclusive rides for the moment.

As we were saying. Although it's an annoyance, the reasons for a price drop are obvious in the mixed reviews etc. It is vital that the game succeeds. Fairly sure that Frontier won't be feeling good that initial supporters of the game feel burned. But what can be done about that, not at all sure. Still, days after making this thread, I still find myself nervous about the idea of pre-orders and release day purchases.

Yup, I'm sure that's just what the shareholders want, another sub-par release that makes the value of their investment drop.

So , they basically set same price as it was on epic on launch / preorder via discount in steam ,

Edit , ah it is 20 percent of on epic also so yeah would have been cheaper to wait, wouldn't have got the 3 bonus rides thou ,

I couldn't care less about them. The game is so unplayable for me due to their changes, that I never placed any of them yet. By the time they get that (hoepfully) fixed, I got a lot of other rides to play with still.

Ouch, yeah that is not on Frontier (assuming it wasn't Steam that did this off their own back - not sure how the whole publisher/steam relationship works). Those of us that pre-ordered paid full price, and within 3 months it's got up to 26% knocked off AND includes the new "DLC" (I use that term loosely as it's literally 4 rides) that would cost us loyal fanbase an additional £8?!!

This is a big kick to the face for all of us that pre-ordered the game and didn't seek refunds even with the negative remarks and reviews going around just before the launch. I'd be less inclined to pre-order any frontier games going forward if this is how you truly value your customers/fans.
